From 6 th semester students become eligible for the placement and they can sit before 6 th semester also if they are highly skilled. the highest package offered here is around 1 crore and the average package is nearly 5-6 lakhs 90% of students get placed every year.
The eligibility criteria for the Course were 90+ percentage in boards or we can get admission by jee percentile which was above 80 percentile. You can search in Google regarding the application form. The improvement which I want to see in admission is the criteria for boards should be reduced
For campus placement students need to prepare for the 8th sem. Many big companies like Salesforce, Microsoft, Intuit and all come to campus every year. The highest salary is 60 lacs while the average is around 15 lacs I am working to get a great placement.
Eligibility is that for Punjab students should have more than 60% in 12th boards and for non-Punjab it should be 75% in boards. Application forms, fees, and dates can be seen on the official website of Thapar. No reservations were availed by me No thapar takes the student on basis of Jee Mains score and Boards.
I have chosen this course as it will be giving me better opportunities in the future. All the facilities here are well-qualified and most are Ph.D. holders. There are two exams in each semester one in the mid sem and the other in the end sem.
The admissions are basically on two criteria firstly based on 12 board marks and the other one based on JEE mains rank. The application fee is 1500 rupees and the application form is available on the college website as soon as the admissions open.
There are campus placements provided by the college. The companies with high packages are less when compared to the companies with low packages. Almost 80 percent of the students are placed on campus placements.
1) First the application form needs to be filled with the correct preferences of the branch. 2) The admissions are based on the JEE MAINS score. 3) Then the counseling is done. There are a few rounds for the counseling. The first three rounds are online. Then we had 2 offline counseling rounds.
Placements are good at Thapar university. It is from 3 years the students are eligible for campus placements. But mostly companies visit in 7 semesters and 8 semesters. Companies like Amazon, Apple, Cisco, Bain, etc. visited the campus and in 2023 till now 1500+ students are placed and about 150 companies have visited the campus. The highest package is about 45 lakhs and the average package is 11 lakhs per year. Mostly the profile offered is a software engineer or data analyst. Thapar has a record of 95% in getting placements.
All Btech students having more than 60% in the 12 standards were allowed to apply. The application can be easily found on thapar.edu after the JEE MAINS exam is conducted. The application fee for the form was 1500 in 2019. The application dates were quite flexible giving a month to apply after the JEE MAINS. The process was quite smooth and according to me, there is no need for any improvement in the process.
85-90% of students get placed every year. Avg Package is around 11 LPA and the Highest salary was 40 LPA given by Microsoft. Product-based companies such as De Shaw, Deloitte, Amazon, Apple etc. Visit here every here. if you are hard-working, you can expect a good package
Admission is done on the basis of Jee Mains as well as Boards merit. The application form cost 1500 rupees. You can download the application form from their website. Fill it out before the last date!
Companies start visiting the campus at the start of 4th year or the final year of the degree. Many top shot companies such as Maruti, Amazon, Zomato, Samsung etc visit the campus. The average package goes around 7-8 lakhs, the highest being above 50 lakhs. A huge number of students are placed on campus.
The admission process was pretty simple. We just have to fill out an application form through the official website of TIET. The admission is based on board percentage and JEE Mains ranking. Punjab quota reservation is available in the college.
Students become eligible for placements as soon as they reached the 8th semester. The major companies visiting here are Amazon, Microsoft, DeShaw, JP Morgan, etc. The highest package this year was 43 lakhs while the average package was around 11 lakhs.
Admission criteria in Thapar Institute of engineering and technology are based on jee mains as well as on 12th board marks, the application forms are available on the college website as soon as the admissions open. Application fees are around 1500 Rupees. The cutoffs are usually high, to get admission to the CSE branch one needs to score at least 97 percent in boards or 95+ percentile in jee mains.
I'm in the second year right now and the companies for internships start coming from starting of 3rd year then companies come for placements in starting 4th year and all good companies come like Microsoft, Amazon, ZOMATO, etc.
The admission process is very simple. They required class 12 marks and also through JEE counseling after that but I got it through class 12 boards PCM percentage and I also got a scholarship because of good marks and JEE percentile.
From the 7th semester, students can sit for college placements. Some of the companies were: Amazon, Deloitte, Naukri.com, HSBC, Tredence, Zynga, MamaEarth, Optum, Blackrock, Future First, Shell, Bain and Company, Siemens, ORACLE, American Express, Signify, Stonewain, Arista, etc. This is the data from the very recent placements of our college: 6 students with 1cr+ packages, and 20 students with 25LPA + packages. The average package was 10LPA. Most companies hired full-stack developers and data analysts. Around 1500 students got placed from 1700 offers. I want to get placed at a prestigious company as a full-stack developer.
Five counselling rounds took place for the admission. The first three were based on 12th-class marking. The other two were based on JEE mains marks. For counselling, we used to get a pdf of cutoffs for every branch with the help of which we used to calculate our branch and lock it. If we didn't by the next counselling we will lose that branch and will get degraded to some other branch. The application form can be found on the official website of Thapar. The application fee is 1000 rs. The eligibility criteria was 60% marks in 12th and You should have attempted JEE mains at least once. We used to ask queries while the admission process and also tried calling the contact info given on the website but we got no response. I wish they improve as this is problematic. I'm in CSE and the cutoff for my branch was 98% plus in the first three rounds of counselling and 97 plus percentile in JEE mains.

Thapar University is known for its impressive infrastructure and supportive senior staff. Students often appreciate the valuable internship opportunities and strong placements, making it a favorable choice for those seeking practical experience and career prospects.
AGBy - Advait GautamThe admission process is very easy. There is no entrance exam for this. Admission is based on 12th marks and JEE MAINS rank. In Thapar, there is a 50% quota for Punjab students as I belong to Punjab so I easily got my 1st preference branch in online counseling only. The information regarding counseling and the cut-off list is available only on the Thapar website. So the admission process is very easy and if you don't get your preferred branch then there are two more chances to change your branch. Firstly at the end of 1st semester by giving the December test and secondly after 1st year by CGPA. So there is no need to worry about your branch
VNBy - VASU NAGORIEligibility for this course is on the basis of a 10+2 score and JEE Mains score. The Application form can be found on the Thapar University website. The admission process is automatic you will receive an email about your admission updates.
