The campus life at the Thapar Institute is adequate. There are many fests held in our college. The annual fest is SATURNALIA which is conducted in any month of the odd semester. And also many tech fests are conducted every month. All the fests including SATURNALIA are gracious. The library of Thapar is huge and beautiful, with several books and journals available in it. If not, there are facilities for e-books, which are easily accessed by the students. These facilities are good and we don't need to buy any books on our own. Classrooms are decent with proper amenities available. The lecture hall is quite big, with a good sound system with proper reverberation of sound and also 2 big projectors. There are numerous amount of sports and extracurricular activities conducted on campus. Sports facilities are good, we may get any equipment with proper grounds and courts. There are many social groups and clubs run by students depending on the field of interest. URJA is one of them.
The hostels of Thapar Institute are good enough. There are facilities like proper Wi-fi, laundry system, proper drinking water system, good furniture with proper study tables, and good bed with cushions. All hostels have small separate grounds and gardens. The quality of meals is satisfactory. Breakfast consists of Eggs, Paratha, omelettes, Milk, Bourn-Vita, Coffee, Tea, Bread-Jam, and also some other food items. Lunch and Dinner have also a separate menu, which has a decent variety of menus available. The registration process for Hostel is very simple, just go to the hostel manager and fill out all the information, pay the fees, and confirm the hostel you want to stay in. Affordability is good, the fees are about 1LPA, including the mess fees. There are many PGs available near the college, but I don't know much about them.
Campus life, as of now, is far away from good. Fests are treated as a formality only. Earlier it used to be good, but with the change in administration, things have not gone uphill. The library is one of the best, with a huge amount of books. Sports facilities are also quite good.
saturnalia is the annual fest of Thapar. events like izhaar, sur night, virsaa also take place. there's great zeal among students to participate in these events and they must be attended as they are immense fun!!
Life on the campus is very exciting, enthusiastic, attractive and at the same time a very good culture for those who want to explore in fields of tech, AI and many more... There are many clubs and societies for exploring and nurturing your talents in dance, music, literature, technology etc. The library is one of the finest, peace places to sit and study and has a great environment with the latest journals for ardent readers.
Hostel facilities provided are at the best. Comfortable ,safe peaceful environment for one to study along with that homely vibe. The meals provided are definitely with the finest quality though not with the home touch which is impossible to get other than by your parents. At the same time they are affordae as well.

Campus life in college is an exciting experience filled with opportunities for personal growth, academic advancement, and social connections. Students can participate in a wide range of activities, including clubs, sports teams, and events, while also taking advantage of resources like libraries, study centres, and career services. Living in dorms or off-campus housing allows for independence and the chance to forge meaningful friendships with peers. The college environment provides a unique and memorable period of life that helps shape students into the individuals they will become.
Hostel facilities usually provide a furnished room with a bed, study table, chair, and wardrobe. hostels may provide a meal plan for their residents, while rented accommodations usually do not include meal services. The registration process for hostels usually involves filling out an application form and submitting required documents.
Thapar has its library nava nalanda ranked 7th among the most stunning libraries in the world. for books all sorts of courses and fun books are available. The classrooms all are equipped with projectors and Lab is equipped with ACs. For sports, we have 4 basketball courts 1 swimming pool, many badminton courts(10+), a cricket ground athletic track and sports equipment available for lending. There are more than 20 clubs and societies focussing on technical and non-tech work.
Most of the hostels are really well designed and maintained except hostel B. The food may be plain but is generally delicious and healthy. The hostel costs about 50000 per sem and the mess costs about 25000 per sem.
There are several activities going on in Thapar, there are several societies and students chapter which keep students busy on weekends besides this there are good opportunities for sports also as the inter-college sports fest Urja.
There is bed, almirah, study table, chair, Ac, and fan provided in my room its semester rent is 43000 and the mess fee is 20000 per semester. You have to fill out the form at the Thapar site for hostel accommodations and you will also get a concerned email regarding this.
1. Annual fest is Saturnalia and the tech fest is Orion and they are conducted in September and February respectively. 2. Books are easily available in the library and journals too. 3. Computer Science students are given more amenities than other branches as they are provided with ACs and more facilities in their lecture theatres. 4. Sports facilities are quite good on our campus as also extracurricular activities. 5. There are numerous clubs run by students on our campus based on Tech, Non-Tech, and other domains.
1. Wi-Fi, Beds, and chair tables. 2. Meal is not good in our hostels and the menu is quite attractive instead. 3. Registration process for hostels is quite good but hostels are not affordable for everyone. 4. Not available

ASBy - Anant SharmaThe eligibility, of course, is 12th oass and jee examination percentile is required. Application forms and fee details are available on the college's website itself only. State quota is there. There is a gap sometimes between the cutoff for general outside state quota and state quota. this gap can be minimised to give fair admissions.
PBy - Prekshaadmission can take place via jee mains and class 12 boards percentage. there's a 50 per cent reservation for Punjab students. the application form is available on the official website of Thapar. reservations are also given to st sc and obc
