Students from 3rd year become eligible for campus placements. Around 300-400 companies visit Thapar every year giving 1500-2000 offers every year. The highest package offered is 44LPA and the average package is 11LPA. Almost 100 students get placed in Thapar.
If you want to be eligible for the admission process then you must be having your board's percentage>70 per cent and jee mains percentile should be greater than 60 percentile. The Application form is presented on the official site of Thapar at the time they start their admission process and the fee for the application form is 1500/- There is a reservation for students who belong to SC, ST and OBC castes and for the students who come under pwd quota.
Students get eligible from the 5th semester for internship opportunities. Placements begin in the 7th semester. A lot of companies: 300+ visit campus for placements and offer diverse roles. The highest package for my placement went to 45 LPA and the average package for the previous year was 10.97 LPA. This year also placements are great. Above 90% of students get placed.
Applying through the college website with a fee of 1500 INR. There were many rounds of counseling but I got Computer engineering in online counseling on basis of my JEE Score and I also had an inside punjab quota. After that, we had to visit the campus for document verification.
There is a very good record of Placements at Thapar, especially talking about the Computer Science streams like CSBS, CSE, and COE. 99 percent of students are placed every year. The Placement Cell is very good. They have some policies like once a student has got an offer for full-time + intern then they can not participate in placement. If a student has only got FTE then they can sit for only intern offering companies, likewise, if a student has got only an intern offer then they can sit for only FTE offering companies.
The admission process was smooth. There were two criteria for getting admission to the college. One was through JEE mains and the other was boards or ICSE examination or any state board examination that the student undertook in their senior secondary school. There were 3 rounds of cut-off. Particularly for my course that was Computer Science and Business Systems the last eligible cut-off was 95 percentile in JEE Mains or 95 percent in boards. There were about 75 students in my batch. Computer Science and Business Systems was a course introduced by TCS in our college. There were about 1200 Computer Science students in Thapar including all Computer Science streams that were:- COE, CSE, and CSBS.
The campus offers good placement opportunities for students enrolled in BE program. Companies visiting the campus hire for Tech, non-tech, and core roles as well. However, tech opportunities are more relative to other domains. The highest offer made was around 40 lahks pa with an avg of 10 lakh pa. 70-80 percent of the batch gets hired easily during the campus placements.
The institute requires the applicant to clear the JEE Main exam along with surpassing cut-off scores for different branches, which vary every year. Recently, the university has allowed admissions on the basis of CBSE XII board scores as well.
The college works really hard to provide students with the best opportunities to boost their careers. As it was established a long time ago, the alumni support is really good. After my degree, I want to work for a well-established firm and gain as much experience as I can.
The admission process was fairly easy. I had to first register on the thapar's official website, the fee of which was INR 1500. After that, I had to submit the demanded documents and then there was a shortlisting for the counseling. In the counseling, the officials were very welcoming and they just asked which course I wanted to join. And after the process, I had to submit the fees and that was it. 3 years later I can say joining this college was the best decision I made. As for any improvements, I didn't face any problems so, I don't think there is a need for any particular changes.
Very good companies come for campus placements. From mass recruiters to big mnc to startups. You will get ample opportunity to get placed in a good company currently the highest package is 57lpa and avg package is near about 10-12lpa
JEE main was required, apart from that Thapar also provides a form that has to be filled out on their website. The admission process is transparent. To get a good branch you need approximately 95 percentile in JEE. You can also opt for admission based on +2 marks.
BE in Computer Engineering from Thapar shows a good placement ratio. faculty is qualified enough to clear all your doubts. Good interaction is built in the class. The one-to-one session is also available. Exams were moderate to tough. Your basic related of the subjects should be clear.
The admission process was smooth, you get called to the main Audi and accordingly called up on the stage for the preference of stream, once you met the criteria, the stream will be assigned to you. You can also avail of the hostel facilities. The application form is uploaded to the thapar official website or you can access it from collegedunia website as well.
College campus placements have shown great results and have kept on increasing year by year. The average package for CSE packages is around 12 lakhs. With the highest on-campus placement being around 50 lakhs. Lots of companies visit our campus including Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, samsung, Deloitte, jp morgan etc More the 95 per cent of students got placed in CSE branches. My plans are to get a successful high-earning package after the degree
The admission process was online due to covid and the pandemic, we had to fill out the admission registration form which cost around 1200 rupees at that time, Eligibility normally is based on half-jee mains seats and half board result seats. Application forms can be found on the thapar.edu website and on the respective dates. No reservations are available but there is a Punjab reservation quota. I would like to improve the fees of the college and cut unnecessary expenses taken be the college
Placements are quite good here around 95% of the students get placed every year The highest package in this college is around 90 lakhs and the lower package is around 5-6 lakhs. you can easily get placed with a good package if you have good skills
I took admission with the help of my board result. The criteria for admission is 90 percent in boards or either we can take admission with help of jee Mains. minimum criteria for jee mains is 75 percentile
placement of this college is good. 95%of the students get placed every year in this college. highest package is around 90 lakhs and the lower package is around 5-6 lakhs. my plan is to do higher studies after be.
To get eligible for this course you should at least score 90 percent in boards or a minimum 75 percentile in jee mains. Application for admission to this college will be available on their website or you can also fill application offline at the university itself.

Thapar University is known for its impressive infrastructure and supportive senior staff. Students often appreciate the valuable internship opportunities and strong placements, making it a favorable choice for those seeking practical experience and career prospects.
AGBy - Advait GautamThe admission process is very easy. There is no entrance exam for this. Admission is based on 12th marks and JEE MAINS rank. In Thapar, there is a 50% quota for Punjab students as I belong to Punjab so I easily got my 1st preference branch in online counseling only. The information regarding counseling and the cut-off list is available only on the Thapar website. So the admission process is very easy and if you don't get your preferred branch then there are two more chances to change your branch. Firstly at the end of 1st semester by giving the December test and secondly after 1st year by CGPA. So there is no need to worry about your branch
