I chose UBC Vancouver because it is one of the best universities in the world for psychology. It is ranked 13th in the world for the program. Also, Vancouver is one of the most livable cities in the world and is a very beautiful place flooded with opportunities. There's a co-op program to help you gain professional experience before you graduate and work learn programs where you can work and study side by side. I chose BA psychology as I am very passionate about becoming a clinical psychologist in the future and am planning to pursue MA and Ph.D. later.
The university is one of the highest-ranked universities in the world. The faculty here is highly qualified and the research conducted here is of the best quality and ingenious. It's a highly competitive and sought-after university and I'm lucky to secure admission here.
I had visited the campus before and thought it was beautiful, My brother went there 2 years before I did and therefore I was able to see and hear about the programs that they offered. I also wanted to do my undergrad on a big university campus as I come from a small island and wanted something different.
My options were in Canada and I chose UBC mainly because of the city and weather, I didn't know that Sauder School of Business was actually that great I always thought western university's and the University of Toronto's business school ranked better but I was wrong. I also noticed UBC had a huge campus and it looked more green mainly because the temperature didn't drop below -10c so that's basically the reason why I chose my university.
I got into other top universities as well but I chose UBC over all others because of the quality of student life and the support it provides.
My deep interest to pursue psychology led me to apply to the University of British Columbia as it offers internationally recognized courses and some of the best research laboratories. I was particular keen on joining the course of the cognitive system which allowed me to extend my degree from the field of just psychology, involving courses from a diverse range of subject matters including computer science, linguistics, and philosophy. The campus boasts of its recreational tennis courts which would allow me to continue playing the sport at the college level.
