My deep interest to pursue psychology led me to apply to the University of British Columbia as it offers internationally recognized courses and some of the best research laboratories. I was particular keen on joining the course of the cognitive system which allowed me to extend my degree from the field of just psychology, involving courses from a diverse range of subject matters including computer science, linguistics, and philosophy. The campus boasts of its recreational tennis courts which would allow me to continue playing the sport at the college level.

Furthermore, the COGS402 course allows university students to pursue research supervised by a professor of their choosing and enables them with a chance to work with esteemed researchers on a professional level.
Hostel
Yes, I resided on campus during my first year at university. There were several options available to first-year students including single unit, shared unit, and studio apartment (19+ only). The single unit included a shared bathroom with another roommate, whereas the shared unit consisted of communal washrooms. The infrastructure was well made, the buildings overlooked the ocean and hills and created a homely feeling for all newcomers. The rent averaged around $900, along with a meaningful plan in place (additional cost).
