Something I love about UBC is its universal recognition and its best campus life. I chose UBC because it is close to home and has a very high reputation. They are a world-class research facility as well which motivated me to accept their offer. Their campus is filled with a lot of beautiful, natural scenery as well. A lot of my friends from high school also accepted their offers to UBC which made me want to join them.

I chose this university because of a number of reasons. First of all, it's one of the top five universities in Canada every year. I also got to know that it is good for studying psychology in which I always wanted to major in. Lastly, Canada has a lot of Indian students. Henceforth, knowing that I won't have a lot of adjustment problems in UBC was a plus.

Vancouver has one of the highest immigrant populations in the world so I felt comfortable knowing I'd be in a very diverse environment. There's a lot of violence and racism in many US colleges and even big colleges in Canada and UBC seemed quite committed to anti-racism and diversity. UBC also has the highest ranked psychology department in Canada. I always wanted to get into research so this was a big factor in my decision. Vancouver also has the best weather in Canada as it doesn't get very cold in the winter. It has a beautiful natural environment with beaches and mountains, and I was excited to live in a city surrounded by nature.

I knew UBC from my parent's friend. They said UBC is one of the top universities in Canada with a beautiful campus. That was the original motivation for me to apply to this university. Besides, this university was the best university that I can apply to according to my grades.
