GNM or General Nursing and Midwifery in Telangana is a diploma course of 3.5 years including an internship period of 6 months of mandatory internship. Telangana GNM Admission is done online. Telangana GNM Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria depend on the institution and course level. However, the general eligibility criteria for Telangana GNM admission 2023 is mentioned below.

  • Students must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in 12th with English as a compulsory subject.
  • Students should be medically fit.
  • The minimum age to apply is 16 and the maximum age is 35. Candidates belonging to the reservation category will get a relaxation of 3 years.

Telangana GNM admission is based on the marks secured by the candidate in 10+2 and the application. Based on both, DME Telangana prepares a merit list to shortlist candidates eligible to show up for the Telangana GNM counselling round. The general process of filling up the Telangana GNM 2023 application form is mentioned below.

  • Pay the registration fee of INR 200 with the help of a challan at the address mentioned on the website.
  • Fill up all the details in the online application form and submit the form.

Ques. Is there any reservation of seats?

Ans. Yes, a certain number of seats are reserved. 15% of the seats are reserved for SCs and 6% for the ST class.

Ques. What is the maximum duration of the course?

Ans. The maximum duration is 6 years. A candidate can take any number of attempts; however, all the papers must be cleared before appearing in the final year.

Ques. What are the minimum marks required for the student to pass the General Nursing and Midwifery course?

Ans. The student is required to attain a minimum of 50% in theory and practical separately to pass the course.

Ques. Can students with an art background enrol in the General Nursing and Midwifery course?

Ans. Yes, students with an aggregate of 40% marks with any of the electives such as History, Geography, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy are eligible to apply. English has to be a core subject.

Ques. Is there a minimum attendance rate for the General Nursing and Midwifery course?

Ans. Yes, a minimum of 75% attendance is required to be eligible to take the exam. The student should also have completed a minimum of 11 months of the course to be eligible to take the exam.
