Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2023: Eligibility

The candidate is eligible for admission to Jharkhand GNM if he/she fulfills the following criteria.

• The candidates must have passed class 10+2 with English as a compulsory subject and preferably Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum score of 40% from a recognized board.
• The candidates who have passed class 10+2 from the Arts stream with English are also eligible for Jharkhand GNM.
• Candidates with a diploma in Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM) recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with a minimum aggregate of 40% can also apply for Jharkhand GNM.
• The candidates registered as ANM with the State Nursing Registration Council.
• The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years as of December 31 the year of applying.
• The maximum age limit is 35 years. Candidates with an age of more than 35 years can not apply for Jharkhand GNM.

Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2023: Application Form

Candidates who wish to pursue the diploma degree of GNM from Jharkhand can do so by applying for the Nursing Entrance Competitive Examinations (NECE) conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). The application form is available only in online mode on the official website of JCECEB. 

How to apply for Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2023

The steps to apply for NECE is given below

• Visit the official website.
• Click on ‘Online Application Submission – JCECEB’.
• Click on ‘Nursing Entrance Competitive Examination-2023 (NECE-2023) ’.
• In the NECE tab click on the 'Useful Important Link' Section
• Fill in the required details
• Create Login Credentials.
• Log in and fill in the form with the required information as stated.
• Upload the documents.
• Submit the form and pay the applicable fees.
• Application fees can be paid online mode only. The application fee is INR 450.

Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2023: Exam Pattern

The examination conducted for admission to GNM is objective type. The exam pattern is basic. There are a total of 150 questions with five major sections. Each question carries one mark.

Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2023: Syllabus

The questions will be of an intermediate level for English and will be of a metric level for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The detailed syllabus for each subject is given in the table below.

Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2023: Result and Merit List

• The result for the Jharkhand GNM entrance examination or NECE is made available on the official website of JCECEB. 
• Before the announcement of the result of the entrance examination, the answer key of the examination is released on the same platform. 
• The result is announced in the form of a merit list. The candidate can find his/her result by typing the name or roll number or even date of birth.
• The merit list issued is arranged in rank-wise order. If two candidates have the same rank then the candidate with more marks in Biology is given the preference. 
• If the Biology marks are also the same, the candidate with more marks in Chemistry will be placed above in the rank list. 
• The candidate with the same marks in Biology and Chemistry, then the rank is decided by the marks scored in Physics. If the marks obtained in all the subjects are the same then the alphabetical order is kept in mind while processing the rank list.

Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2023: Counseling Process

The counseling for admission to GNM in Jharkhand takes place after the declaration of the result of the entrance examination.

• The candidates get admission to various colleges offering GNM based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination.
• The candidate is required to fill in the form for counseling made available on the official website of JCECEB and register herself for counseling.
• The Counseling is conducted Rank-Wise. Candidates had to report to the college/center within the scheduled time for Admission.
• The presence of the candidate at the time of counseling is mandatory.
• The candidates have to provide all the documents to the authority at the time of counseling.
• All the required documents are verified. And after the verification process is done, the original documents are returned.

Reservation for Jharkhand GNM Nursing Admission 2023

The seats are reserved for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category, BC-I, BC-II, Schedule Tribe (ST), Primitive Tribe, Schedule Caste (SC), and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates. The reservation for the seats of GNM is based on the reservation policy of the state of Jharkhand.
