Placement:

According to my research, most students get placed right after college in good companies. Since the university is primarily research-centric, research opportunities are available in abundance. Major companies that recruit from UF MAE are Lockheed Martin, Airbus, Boeing, etc. NASA too directly recruits students for research from the department. Overall the opportunities are more than enough for anyone who is willing to put in the effort.

No, I am still in the first semester of my graduate degree.

Placement:

Most students are placed in top companies. Everyone has to apply online and get the call. Career fairs are of no to little use. University location is also a disadvantage.

Internship:

Like everyone I tried for an internship, I haven't gotten any calls till December next month corona kicked in and everything from there is no good. Most students got internships from Amazon and other top companies.

The job opportunities seem plentiful and the university works hard to make the transition to the workforce and easy one. They do a great job with the internships they offer.

Internship:

I have not completed an internship yet but will be doing so next semester. I am looking forward to it! All the friends I have spoken to have had great experiences with their internships and have enjoyed getting a taste of what the workforce will be like.

Our college provides internships, but I have not applied for any, so I am unable to speak on behalf of that side! They have Gator career websites strictly for undergraduates and graduates alike to help them gain admission into new jobs and experiences.

While I have not yet had time to hold a job in college, the Career Connection Center offers many programs to students that ensure there are plenty of job opportunities. We also have an online database of UF related positions that students can fill.

My college has an amazing Health Science program, and from here it is possible to move into the University of Florida Medical School without changing towns again! Gainesville is also less metropolitan than most other Florida universities do which was appealing to me.

Yes but there was no stipend. The internship was at a hospital and I worked for 4 weeks one summer and am about to be on rotation for another 11 months. The school schedules everything for you and finds preceptors.

The pharmacy school is one of the best in the country and matches a lot of their students for residency programs. It is also where my mom went to undergrad. The college is also in a great location and I love the town.

Internship:

There are tons of internship opportunities because our campus is a research-heavy institution. All of the faculty on campus are involved in at least one type of research so it's super easy to get involved in the research.

They gave the most scholarships and the engineering program was really good. They were ranked in the top ten public universities in the US when I applied, and by being a freshman in 2018, the ranking just increased to the top 8.

I love nutrition and how it impacts every aspect of health. I myself am student-athlete and as such have personal experience in nutrition impacting life, or in my case, athletic performance. Further nutritional sciences have a science emphasis which appeals to me.

Placement:

The placements are difficult. I've known people who have offers before they graduate and I know people who have had to job search post-graduation. I think part of that is the advertising and graphic design industry.

Internship:

My college does not offer an internship. My college does allow students to get internships somewhere and then offer internship credit, which goes toward your total number of credit hours for your major.

I got hired for a job in nursing at the hospital associated with my university before I even graduated from nursing school. I think that graduating from a top ten public university gives students a lot of opportunities after graduation.

Internship:

My college did not provide an internship. We had opportunities to connect with employers through career fairs and other events that would help students be able to get internships, usually for over the summer.
