Autumn Bartlett Review at University Of Florida [UF], Gainesville | Collegedunia

University of Florida Experience

AB
9.0 /10

I love nutrition and how it impacts every aspect of health. I myself am student-athlete and as such have personal experience in nutrition impacting life, or in my case, athletic performance. Further nutritional sciences have a science emphasis which appeals to me.

Course Curriculum :

I enjoy my curriculum, the information being on taught is interesting and has real world relevance. However the material is relatively challenging. Being that the classes are science based they do require a great deal of effort and studying.

Events :

Although there is a range of different events celebrated around UF, the events I am more involved with are athletic events as I am on the university's official track and field team. As such I attend and participate in multiple athletic competitions a year.

Fees :

Fees are to be paid within the first month of the semester, some fees can be deferred to later payment as a way of accounting for delay in scholarship distribution.

Scholarship :

Yes I have an academic scholarship distributed by the university, Bright Futures as a Florida resident, and financial aid. I earned Bright Futures as well as my UF scholarship based on high school standards that I have maintained throughout college.

Examination Structure :

Multiple exams throughout the semesters, usually with cumulative finals. The last day of classes is followed by two ?reading days? without exams, these days are set aside for the purpose of studying for finals.

Faculty :

The faculty is very understanding and seem to be invested in the success of their students. This is particularly true for professors in higher level courses as they do go above and beyond to get to know their students and offer them assistance when they can.

Hostel :

I live in an off-campus house with other students, although apartments are available I preferred for myself a home to go to at the end of the day. Houses are very available and very close to campus.
