Janda Lucas Review at University Of Florida [UF], Gainesville | Collegedunia

It's great to be a Florida Gator!

JL
9.7 /10

It is the best college in my state for the program that I am getting my degree in. I have always wanted to go to UF and decided at a very early age that it would be my first pick school. I also knew there wouldn't be a chance I could go out of state.

Course Curriculum :

I think that the course curriculum is challenging yet very fun. I feel that by the time I receive my degree I will be fully prepared for the workforce. I have very much enjoyed all the classes that I have taken at the university.

Exams :

I took the SAT to get into the University of Florida. I scored a 1386 on the SAT exam which met the requirements for entry.

Placement :

The job opportunities seem plentiful and the university works hard to make the transition to the workforce and easy one. They do a great job with the internships they offer.

Internship :

I have not completed an internship yet but will be doing so next semester. I am looking forward to it! All the friends I have spoken to have had great experiences with their internships and have enjoyed getting a taste of what the workforce will be like.

Events :

We celebrate homecoming and we have Gator Growl before every homecoming game. It is so much fun! Football season is a big deal for the university and a lot of social events revolve around going to football games.

Fees :

We are charged per credit hour. There are also lab fees associated with certain classes.

Scholarship :

No, I have not received any scholarship opportunities. I have applied for quite a few but have not been chosen, unfortunately.

Examination Structure :

Each class has a different testing structure. It really depends on the course. I have had some classes that have weekly tests while others are primarily paper-based. I enjoy the testing classes more because writing papers is extremely time-consuming.

Hostel :

For my first couple of years, I commuted from home. And just at the beginning of this year, I moved into an off campus apartment with a couple of friends. I believe freshmen have to either board in the dorms or commute from home.
