Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Health, Safety and Environment Engineering) From UPES, Dehradun

Aspirants looking for admission can apply for various courses offered by UPES through any of the online or offline mode within due dates.

Offline Mode:

1. Students can obtain the information brochure & Application form from any of the listed enrollment offices of UPES namely, Dehradun, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad or kochi after payment of INR 1750 as part of application fee.
2. Students can also obtain the prospectus & application form through post after payment of INR 1850 in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favor of “UPES-Fee Account” payable at Dehradun or Delhi.

Online Mode:

• UPES has its own web based application which allows students to submit their online application form, so to serve this purpose they have to visit to the official website of UPES.
• First students have to select their status, whether they are Indian or Foreign nationals.
• You are required to buy the application form by signing up initially. A sign up form will be displayed on the screen which is required to be filled by you completely (including the course which you want to pursue).
• After submission of the form, you will receive an e-mail from UPES on the e-mail ID which you have provided at the time of form filling.
• Now by clicking on the given link, you have to proceed further by providing all the required details.
• After final submission of the application form, you have to pay the application fee by using credit/debit card or through net banking.

Note:

1. Online application form submission process is applicable to those students who wish to submit the application in online mode
2. Students are advised to not to click on the ‘BACK’ button while filling the online application form.
3. After submission of the application form, you must take print out of the application form.

• . Minimum 60% marks at Higher and Senior Secondary level (X and XII).
• . B. Tech/ BE (IT/(Hons.) Computer Science and Engineering), MCA, M.Sc. (Physics/Math’s/Statistics, with minimum 60% marks. Or Equivalent.

UPES offers a two-year M.Tech course in 16 different specializations. The minimum eligibility to apply in both courses is a BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

UPES admission to M.Tech. is done on the basis of screening of candidates’ application, followed by an interview. 

Key Points:

• Candidates appearing in their final year examinations are also eligible for UPES admission by providing the proof of eligibility.
• Candidates with a compartment in any of their subjects are not eligible for UPES admission.
• Those who have an M.Sc degree need to have 60% marks in B.Sc as well to be considered eligible.
• Candidates who don’t pass their semester at the first attempt and are not punctual academically, will not be provided any fellowship.

Scholarship

Fellowship for M.Tech Students

1. GATE SCHOLARSHIP:  Under this scholarship, INR12,400/- per month will be given to Students having 70 percentile and above in GATE.

Students admitted to M. Tech program in the academic session 2020-21 with valid GATE score 70 percentile and above will be considered for scholarship @ Rs. 12,400/- per month during their period of registration with the University. The eligibility for the continuance of scholarship in subsequent semesters is given below:

• Minimum SGPA / CGPA of 8.0 in each semester.
• Passed every semester examination in the first attempt besides maintaining regular attendance, discipline, exemplary behavior and compliance with all other norms as prescribed by the University from time to time.

2. RESEARCH GRANT:  All Students will also be eligible to avail a grant up to a sum of Rs. 50,000/- towards outcome-based research as per rules & regulations framed for the purpose by the University.
