Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of your personal Interview?

Shailesh: FMS Delhi MBA Admission interview was held offline at FMS Delhi campus. There were a total of 6 panels. I was part of panel 6 and had 2 faculties as panelists.

It was an easy going interview. FMS generally takes around 6-7 minutes interview at max, so you need to be very precise with answers. The Interview begins with an extempore worth 5 marks, so thinking on your feat is important. Further, they ask you 4-5 questions to test how you think. The questions were all about where I come from and how I perceive my surroundings. All I'll say is, be quick and be yourself. FMS will rarely test you on your knowledge. They focus more on who you are, your interests, how you think, and your general awareness. Be confident, read a bit about FMS and it's alums, know your hometown and nearby geography/history/political scenario well.

Collegedunia Team: Mention 3 reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Shailesh: So my best option was FMS, followed by IIM Shillong. To me the choice was obvious. FMS had better placements and a phenomenal ROI. It had the DU advantage which comes with way more freedom than the rules of a traditional campus. The faculty was a factor with FMS being a legacy Institute with experienced faculties. The location was also a plus, with delhi having way more opportunities. Also the rigour here is comparatively less than IIMs which gives one a lot more time to focus on hobbies and what we want to do.

Collegedunia Team: What was the reason for you not converting to other colleges?

Shailesh: I messed up my CAP interview and could only convert IIM Udaipur there since Udaipur had maximum weightage to CAT score. That interview majorly revolved around my engineering subjects and I wasn't prepared. So be thorough with your academics.
