CAT 2015 Exam Pattern

CAT is a computer based test, conducted in the partnership of Tata Consultancy Services. Candidates are required to go through a testing environment created locally to check their aptitude. It is wrong to call CAT, an online test, because neither systems provided to the students will be connected to internet nor the results will be disclosed as soon as the exam is over. Till CAT 2013, the exam was 140 minutes test but in CAT 2015 the duration was increased by 30 minutes and thus the total test time became 170 minutes. It is speculated that the current format will be continued till CAT 2015 too.

CAT 2015 Exam Format

There are two sections in the exam. Section 1 comprises of mathematical aptitude and data interpretation. There are total 50 questions in it, out of which 34 are from mathematical aptitude. Rest of the questions is from DI. Section 2 comprises of Verbal ability and Logical Reasoning. 16 questions will be from logical reasoning.

CAT 2015 Marking Scheme

Applicants can check the marking scheme of CAT. There will be in all 100 questions in the exam. For every correct answer candidate will get one mark whereas for every wrong answer one-third of marks allotted will be deducted.
