Audrey Viso Review at Clemson University [CLEM], Clemson | Collegedunia

Clemson University experience

AV
8.7 /10

The high-level academics and unmatched family atmosphere drew me in. The beautiful campus and limitless opportunities that Clemson provides also made Clemson feel like the right choice. At Clemson, I knew I would have all of the opportunities I needed to succeed and be prepared for the future.

Course Curriculum :

From what I know, the course curriculum and difficulty varies by major. Most of the courses I have taken are challenging and require the right amount of organization, studying and preparation, but if you put in the work, you will get the results you want (most of the time).

Exams :

I only took the ACT for the admissions process and got a 32. There was also a placement test for math and other courses called the ALEKS.

Placement :

I am a sophomore and have not yet looked for a job, but I have heard great things about job placement after graduation because of the connections and alumni network. There are many people willing to help find connections.

Internship :

Yes. There are many opportunities for every type of major or for whatever job you are interested in. They provide opportunities for internships on campus, off campus, and will willingly help you find an internship at home for the summer if you are an out-of-state student.

Events :

Football, of course, is a huge deal. The love for the sport and the school really makes Clemson a special place to be year-round. There are also many other festivities that take place on campus and we receive notifications about them through email. There are a fall and a spring concert every year where usually a well-known band plays on campus, which is very fun.

Fees :

There is tuition and paying for books. Housing costs depend on where you live and if you live on campus.

Scholarship :

Yes. Scholarship depends on your test scores, whether you are in-state or out-of-state, and any other personal information or accomplishments.

Examination Structure :

Exam layout varies greatly by major and course. In most of my classes, there are 4 exams or 4 exams and a final, where the final can replace your lowest exam score. In other courses, there may only be 2 exams. Sometimes exams can make up 90% of your grade and other times it could be only 40%

Faculty :

The majority of the professors are qualified and it shows through their teaching. Yet, I have also had a few that could definitely communicate better. For the most part, the professors care about you and want you to succeed if you show that you want to succeed in the course.

Hostel :

I have lived on campus both years at Clemson and also have a car, but there are many busses that run around the city and near enough to any places to live off campus. The bus service is helpful so that those without cars can get to campus.
