BITS Pilani BE Eligibility Criteria

In order to get accepted in the first degree program, the candidates must pass 12th grade from a recognised state or central board in English medium.
The candidate should be a PCM student to get admitted in the BE/B.Tech course with an overall 75% and should secure at least 60% in each subject.

BITS Pilani BE Admission 2024

Admission to BITS Pilani BE program is based on BITSAT exam scores. The institute conducts its own entrance exam every year at different centers in the country. Candidates securing a good score in the exam are selected for admission. BITS Pilani also has a provision of direct admission for students securing first rank in the central and state board exams.

BITS Pilani BE Scholarship

BITS Pilani gives a variety of scholarships, fellowships, and other forms of financial aid to its students. Approximately 30% of students receive financial aid in some way or another. Scholarship recipients must maintain high academic status and behavior in order to keep their awards.

For students in the FD programme: Every year, around 30% of students enrolled to First Degree Programs get semester tuition fee exemptions ranging from 15% to 100% in the form of:

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BITS Pilani hyderabad curriculum is intended to be thorough and demanding with a focus on giving students a solid foundation in their chosen field of study. The course curriculum is well structured and you are given the freedom to choose any course at any point in time provided you have fulfilled the prerequisites. You are given the freedom to build your own timetable and choose your own professors. 100% of the Professors are experienced and have a well-performed post-doctorate from a reputed university. There is faculty to student ratio of around 1:3 in every branch and you can approach any Professor with your doubts. Evaluations are one of the most brainstorming times where papers are mostly original and are difficult to score higher marks.

As bits is one of the most prestigious colleges in the country I always had a dream to study here. Luckily I cleared the cutoff for computer science which was also my preference due to my major inclination toward pursuing a career in its sector. Coming to the student-faculty ratio since cse is the most demanded branch the ratio is quite high but again there are separate tutorial classes and chamber discussion hours where you can clear your doubts with faculty one to one and that's more than enough. The faculty here mostly have done their PhDs and majors from foreign institutes or prestigious Indian one. The exams become quite easy if you have attended classes though there's a zero attendance policy.
