BITS PILANI Its Magic

Remarks :

Generally speaking, the admissions procedure for a course can differ based on the organisation and programme. An application must be submitted, and test results and transcripts must be provided. A student must normally fulfil any programme prerequisites and specific educational requirements in order to be eligible for a course. Usually, the institution's or program's website has details regarding the application procedure, such as where to get the application form, application costs, and deadlines. If any, reservation perks would also be mentioned on the institution's or program's website but there isn't any reservation in BITS. I am unable to comment on potential changes to the admissions procedure because it differs based on the institution.

Course Curriculum Overview :

In general, a course's curriculum is created to give students the knowledge and abilities they need to excel in a specific field of study. There may be a mix of lectures, labs, and practical instruction in the programme. The institution and programme you are enrolled in will determine the specific curriculum and course structure. A course's instructors are frequently very skilled and knowledgeable experts in their subject. They are in charge of instructing students on the course material and offering them direction and support. Depending on the institution and programme, the student-to-faculty ratio might change, but generally speaking, a lower ratio can signify smaller class numbers and more individualised attention for students. The institution and programme would also determine the qualifications of the professors and the evaluation of their instructional strategies. Exams are a bit difficult and to get good grades you have to study hard.

Internships Opportunities :

Students at BITS Pilani (all campuses) participate in Practice School 1 (PS 1), a summer internship, as part of their curriculum following their second year. Additionally, all students receive PS 2, which is an additional 6-month internship in the final year (12 months for dual degree students). As of 2019, BITS has partnerships with a number of Indian businesses, including Apple, Amazon, Nutanix, Goldman Sachs, Texas Instruments, Adobe, American Express, etc. for PS 2. Students participating in this internship receive pretty substantial stipends from the employer (ranging from 45000 to 1 lac rupee per month depending on the company). The environment is highly lively for PS 2, and students can even start new businesses for an internship station.

Placement Experience :

Every year, there are two placement seasons scheduled at BITS Pilani campuses. As part of the Practice School programme, our students spend one of the two semesters of their final year working in industry and are only available sometimes on campus. On each campus website, two months prior to placements, you can get information about the profiles of the students who are available for placement in each season.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Because BITS is a private institution and is not funded by the Indian government, its fees have soared. The students want BITS to be equal to IIT's and not have management quotas, excessive fees, or any other restrictions on enrollment. Although the fees are substantial, even if students perform only averagely during their placements, they can easily return their college loans. scholarship programmes are available: Scholarship awarded on the basis of merit: your semester-to-date CGPA. Ten people (each batch) receive a 100% tuition discount, while another ten (per batch) receive a 40% discount. The cutoff for this semester was 9.2 Merit keep Again, based on your CGPA, but also with the requirement that your parents' yearly income be less than 10 LPA. You can earn a scholarship with a CGPA of 7 or above, however the higher your CGPA, the bigger the scholarship.

Campus Life :

The college offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, the arts, and music. There is always some sort of activity going on throughout the year that will keep you busy aside from your studies. Not to mention the campus' well-known festivals like APOGEE, BOSM (Sports Fest), and Oasis (Cultural Fest) (Technical Fest). There is a tradition of clubs and departments on campus that strive to organise and administer the festivals as well as carry out other events all year long. We have clubs like the English and Hindi Press Club, Drama Club, Coding Club, Creative Activities Club, Photography Club, Music Club, Poetry Club, Dance Club, and so on

Hostel Facilities :

The Institute is entirely residential, and all students are given access to dormitories. For students whose parents or other close relatives live in Pilani, permission to become a day scholar may only be given in extraordinary cases. Eleven hostels are available for boys, and just one is for girls. The dormitory rooms are completely equipped, have internet access, and have a shared water filter and solar water heater. In every hostel, there are common rooms with cable TV and phones. For every pair of two-boy hostels, there is a kitchen-cum-mess unit. The girls' hostel, on the other hand, has a unique mess that is located inside the hostel's perimeter. It is required that students who are staying in the hostel eat their meals there.

Placement Experience:

BITS Pilani is known for its strong track record in terms of placements. The university has a dedicated Placement and Training department, which works closely with companies to provide students with a wide range of employment opportunities. The university has a good record of placement with a high percentage of students getting placed through campus placements. Many top companies in India and abroad visit the campus to recruit students, and the average salary offered is quite high. The university has a good reputation in the industry, which helps to attract a large number of companies to recruit from the campus. The placement process at BITS Pilani begins in the seventh semester and continues till the end of the academic session. The university has a good track record of placing students in top companies across various sectors such as IT, consulting, finance, and manufacturing. For students who are not placed through campus placements, the employability rate is still quite high.

Placement Experience:

BITS Pilani campus placements are at par. The average package offered is around 11-12 lakhs. BITS is the only Indian college that gives students chance to confirm their placement in Practice School. It's a bit of initiative in which students are allotted companies on basis of their CGPA and they can work in them to get Pre-Placement offers. Apart from this placement committee of BITS Pilani assures that every student who sits in placement should get placed. The placement percentage is almost 100% as people got placed either through PPOs in summer internships and Practice School and the rest are placed during two placement seasons. More than 250+ companies visit campus giving domestic offers ranging from 8-50 LPA.

Students become eligible from the 7th semester for campus placements, and many companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Sprinklr, Cisco, Zomato, Adobe, Amazon, etc. come for campus placements. Almost 90% of students get placed in our college. The highest package was around 70-80lpa and the average is around 15lpa. My plan is to prepare for UPSC after my degree.

Placement Experience:

Placement is what we came for. the placement ratio is decent as compared to IITS, for CSE it is almost 100% and for other branches, it performs well enough. the average package is a bit low, around 16-18 in. for CSE it is decent around 30lakhs. but I guess it can get better with more foreign packages. for other branches, it lies around 15-22lakhs which is decent. I plan to sit in placements.

Placement Experience:

From semester 6th students become eligible for placement and first of all Infosys and TCS hire in the 6th semester through infytq examination and TCS code vita exam and then continuously company visited the campus and provide multiple offers to the students. In the csr mostly all students get placed but in the other core branch, the placement ratio is poor. My plan after the degree is to join Infosys because I have placed in Infosys in the 6th semester.
