Candidates should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.

The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th class examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As bits is one of the most prestigious colleges in the country I always had a dream to study here. Luckily I cleared the cutoff for computer science which was also my preference due to my major inclination toward pursuing a career in its sector. Coming to the student-faculty ratio since cse is the most demanded branch the ratio is quite high but again there are separate tutorial classes and chamber discussion hours where you can clear your doubts with faculty one to one and that's more than enough. The faculty here mostly have done their PhDs and majors from foreign institutes or prestigious Indian one. The exams become quite easy if you have attended classes though there's a zero attendance policy.

No brainer for CS placements

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested to be a coder and making new software to help with my everyday tasks moreover bits CS course gives you a lot of exposure and opportunities. The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable and also have some interesting courses to teach. The exams are above average difficulty but one can deal with them with the everyday study.

Comparing IIIT Hyderabad and BITS Pilani cannot be done in terms of with as both are reputed institutes. However, they can be compared on the basis of individual parameters. For instance Campus: BITS Placements: IIIT Hyderabad Coding: IIIT Hyderabad Now it’s up to you to decide which factor will affect you the most. In my opinion choosing IIIT Hyderabad over BITS Pilani is a no-brainer as IIIT Delhi is the best when it comes to CSE. Its curriculum is designed exceptionally well. Apart from this, it fairs well in terms of modern technology, infrastructure, faculties, placements, and greater opportunities for higher studies and research. The only institutes that give IIIT Hyderabad an edge are IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore. You are bound to gain a lot of fun experience and knowledge at IIIT Hyderabad and won’t regret joining it ever. However, this definitely does not mean BITS Pilani is not any good. It’s just that the outcomes offered by both institutes are different. If you want to go for MBA or Government Services in the future, BITS Pilani is a good choice as it offers a wider range of opportunities in contrast to CSE at IIIT Hyderabad which is suitable only if you want to stay in this field till the end....Read more

BITS Pilani is better for studying Computer Science. It is an old and reputed technological institute with an excellent placement record. BITS Pilani placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 1.33 CPA. The average CTC stood around INR 28.99 LPA. Due to the no reservation policy, the student crowd of the institute is excellent. You will share your classrooms with talented people. BITS has a thriving research culture. From the 2nd year onwards, you can take part in study projects/computer projects/lab-oriented projects. A family friend is a faculty of BITS Pilani and from what he has learned about Artificial Intelligence, there is nothing such as B.Tech or M.Tech. Artificial Intelligence is an arena of research in computer engineering and research cannot be taught. He has also found out that all the teachers in BITS who are in charge of teaching engineering struggle to save their jobs. Research cannot be taught in any way whatsoever. The reasons being: Skilled Artificial Intelligence is produced in no institute. The Artificial Intelligence positions in all the artificial intelligence companies are taken by engineers who have experience of more than ten years in computer engineering. BITS Pilani offers Artificial Intelligence, ML1, and ML2 as disciplinary electives for students who are pursuing computer science. This might be a hard choice. You have to think deeply and make a tough decision while choosing between any of these colleges. IIT Mandi It is an IIT Brand for which you have worked hard and studied for around 2 years to be known as an IITian. All the faculty at IIT Mandi are themselves from IIT with a Ph.D. degree. The infrastructure of IIT Mandi is excellent. Also, the hostel life is quite good with a standard living lifestyle. BITS Pilani It is one of the excellent colleges in India with developed culture and with a good environmental reputation The alumni are quite good Many reputed companies visit the campus for placement drives. The college provides a decent and a good salary average of 12 LPA, especially for the department of CSE.
