There are campus placement opportunities in the college. About 95-98 percent of the students got placed in the companies. Numerous companies came for placement like Microsoft, Google, optiver, reliance, etc. The highest package is in crores and the average package is around 17-18 lakhs. I am planning to secure a good package job after my degree and then maybe go for MBA.
There is only one way you can make your way to IITs in B.Tech program and that is through JEE. First, you have to give and clear JEE Mains and after that, you have to sit for JEE advanced and then after clearing it, you will get your college and branch according to your rank and preferences. Physics, chemistry and Maths of 11th and 12th are asked in JEE. You will easily find JEE mains form on the NTA website and the Advanced form on www.jeeadvanced.in website. Coming to the reservation, you can avail it as per the rules like there are some seats reserved for OBC and SC/ST students.
Students completing the 6th sem of BTech are eligible for placements. Companies in various sectors like IT/Software, Finance, Consult, Analytics, etc. visit. Most of these companies are open to every department. Software Companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, and Amazon, firms Accenture, Bain and Company, BCG, and banks like Axis Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank etc. visit for hiring. No. of offers made are near 1300 which is higher than the no. of students sitting for placements since some students get multiple offers. Almost 95% of students get placed. The average package is near 20LPA. Jobs in all the above-mentioned profiles are offered. Also, companies like Tata Steel, Jaguar, and Bajaj visit for hiring in the Core Mechanical profile. I am planning to get a job in Analytics profile.
You need to clear JEE Mains and JEE Advanced first. Rank in JEE Advanced should be under 1100 to get BTech. Mechanical for General Category. Reservations for females and other categories like SC, ST, OBC etc. are available and cutoffs of the same can be viewed on NTA's official website. You can also change your Branch from any other UG course in the same Institute to this by clearing the CPI cutoff which is nearly 8.7-8.8
Students in the 7th and 8th semesters are eligible for campus placements. And I can say that IIT Bombay campus placements are one of the highest placements in India. Students in the 2nd and 3rd years are eligible for internship opportunities provided by the placement team also. The percentage of students getting placed is also very high. Others opt for higher studies. I plan to get a job in my 7th semester in the Data Science profile.
I gave two exams, JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED. You have to be among 1500 students overall in India to secure a seat at IIT Bombay. I was 533 in OBC so I got B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay. JEE exams are after the 12th boards and forms come around August month. The admission process is governed by JOSAA. Two years of proper hard work is at least required to get admission here. Practice previous year's papers to improve the score in JEE exams.
Students can sit for placements in their pen ultimate semester, i.e., B.Tech UGs in their 7th sem and Dual Degree students in their 9th sem. More than 250 top companies come for recruitment including companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Apple, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, etc. offering packages in crores as well. More than 1,000 offers are made almost every year. More details about placement stats can be found in the brochure released by the IIT Bombay placement office every year on the official IIT Bombay website. The average package is approximately 15 lacs per annum. Profiles related to IT offer more job offers and provide relatively higher packages. Almost 85-90% of students are placed and the remaining few opt for higher studies. I am planning to get a job temporarily for 1-2 years for financial support which I might need for doing MS from a foreign university/college.
Two exams need to be cleared to get admission to IIT Bombay subject to cutoff ranks for different branches - JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. All the 12th boards appearing students are eligible to write JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Also, students who passed the 12th board a year before appearing in the exam are eligible to write both exams. If a candidate clears JEE Mains, then only he/she/they will be allowed to write JEE Advanced. The application form is released at the official websites of JEE Mains and Advanced. There are reserved seats for female students as well as students from PwD, SC/ST, OBC-NCL, and Gen-EWS category, and detailed cutoffs for each sub-category is released by the IITs on the official JEE Advanced website.
Students can sit for placement in their 4th year given some academic criteria are full-filled by students. A lot of companies around 230 this year (2023), including MnC come for placement. to name a few big companies are- Jane street, Optiver, Google, Facebook, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, BCG, sony, Samsung, Jaguar, etc, etc. The highest package for the year 2022 was 4 crore, around 25 students got 1 cr package, and the average salary was 23 lakhs. The chances of getting a placement from IIT Bombay are for sure better than any other institution. My plans are to get into any of the big companies I mentioned above :).
For admission, a student should have at least 75% on board in class 12. The JEE exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and all the information gets available on their official website i.e. nta.ac.in, the application fee is around 1000 INR. the exam is conducted 2-3 times, and the best score of the candidate is used for evaluation and you have to enroll for each session separately, the first session exam is conducted in January-February month. There are two phases of the entrance exam first you have to clear jee main and then you will be allowed to sit for jee advance. some seats are reserved for OBC and SC/ST candidates hence the IIT cut-off criteria are significantly low for reservation candidates. the admission process is fair and good.
For Btech/BS students they will have there placements in 7th and 8th semesters for dual year students it will be in the 9th semester Companies visited - Jane Street, Optiver, Rubrik, JLR, Bajaj Auto, Axxela, RBI, Adobe, Samsung, Google, Tata Steel, TCS, Sony, Barclays, Bane consultancy, BCG, PnG, HUL. I could go on and on for a rough Idea I would say around 100 companies come for campus placements The highest package would be around 4 crores
Admission exam - JEE Mains + JEE Advanced First, you have to give JEE Mains conducted by NTA and you have to score more than 15% to be eligible for the JEE Advanced ( there would be individual subjects cut off too which may vary yearly) Then you have to give JEE Advanced conducted by IITs The application form will be available on the NTA website for JEE Mains and for JEE Advanced the IIT which is conducting it that year will have a website and you can apply there There are a certain number of seats given to reservations based on the institute capacity you can check those on the JoSAA website during your counselling time Improvement in the admission process - I would prefer students to take decisions carefully about the department they are going to select, rather than following the herd mentality and choosing CSE over others they should thoroughly research and make a decision
Our college provides on-campus placement. Placement season starts at the end of the 7th semester for the fourth yr students. Companies like SAIL, BHEL, ONGC, and many more come to the campus. The average salary for chemical engineering students lies between 18 LPA and 20 LPA. Almost 90% of the students are placed in on-campus placement, the rest are either preparing for UPSC or MBA or have a startup in their mind.
You have to clear JEE Advanced to get admission into IITs. You also need to have min 75% in your 12th boards. First, you have to apply for JEE Mains on their official website. If you have a percentile greater than 90 then most probably you will qualify for JEE Advanced. Then Qualifying for JEE Advanced is the most important thing to get admission into IITs. You can also avail of reservation benefits here.

For admission to IIT Bombay, you are required to first qualify for JEE mains and get a good enough rank in JEE advanced. also, you should be in the top 20 percentile of your respective board or 75% of the CBSE board. The application form is available in the official website of JEE Advanced. Application fees are around 3000 Rs and the form comes about after the release of JEE main result.

OCBy - Omprakash ChaturvediThere was an All India competitive exam called JEE which I have cleared to get this course. Application form can be found on the NTA website, the fee of the same is 2900. A reservation holds a lot of benefits like the person with the same marks with a reservation will get a lot better seat than the one without a reservation.
