National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surathkal, also known as NITK Surathkal course admissions are closed for various courses. The institute offers UG, PG, and doctoral-level programmes in the fields of Engineering, Technology, Science, and Management. The technology institute has 15 departments and offers over 20 courses. NIT Surathkal admission to UG and PG programmes is entrance exam-based. Some of the accepted exams are JEE Main, GATE, and IIT JAM. The mode of application for all the courses is online. Additionally, with its exceptional research courses, this technology institute has become the hub of innovation. NITK has also maintained a good placement record over the years. Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose Btech Civil Engineering in NITK. The faculty members are also good.. Student ratio is approx 1:3 The semester exams are in 5 months & it's slightly were difficult to pass in maths exam compare to other subjects.
Internships Opportunities :
In NITK organized internship every year so you should apply through their respect site. They will give either advertisement or notice on their site. You have to apply within a given period. You will selected on the basis of your research area, this thing hardly matter majority will given on the basis of your cgpa.
Placement Experience :
Placements: 99% of the students get placed in different companies, both core and non-core. The highest package is INR 45 lacs per annum, and the average is INR 24 lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies are Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Jio, Airtel, Adobe, and many more. Mostly, 50 percent of students get internships from my course. The top roles are software developers and semiconductor engineers.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fee structure is okay not that much high and low fee. The campus provides scholarship and financial assistance which are below 1lakh as annual family income. To get a campus job we have to maintain at least above 7 Cgpa.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is not able to explain through the words. Firstly about the annual fest., The annual fest (basically called INCIDENT FEST) in NITK is one of the second largest fest in INDIA. The tech fest is also fabulous. The availability of books in campus is a lot of books available in the library. Extra curricular activities in the campus was Infrastructure facilities available in the sports centre Outdoor Sports 400m Track (1) surrounded by Pavilion. International Standard Swimming Pool (1) with diving arena. Well maintained grounds of Football (1), Volleyball (2), Handball (2), Hockey (1), Kho-kho (2), Kabaddi (2) and Cricket (turf pitch) (1). Basketball Courts (equipped with floodlight) (2) surrounded by pavilion. Lawn Tennis Court (4) Indoor Sports Modern 3 storied Indoor Sports Complex with state of the art facilities which includes: Squash Court (3) Modern Fitness Centre (Multi-Gym, Cardio station, Treadmill etc.) Yoga & Mediation Hall Carom and Chess Hall
Hostel Facilities :
The National Institute of Technology provides various facilities to the students. NIT Surathkal campus has laboratories, classrooms, a library, hostels, and cafeterias. Some of the campus facilities include: A fully Wi-Fi campus. Auditorium. Well equipped Conference hall and Seminar hall. Libraries with a collection of 1,30,006 volumes Hostels facility for boys & girls Gym and Medical facilities
