Which is the best university, Sathyabama or Karunya?

A
Admin Posted On : March 5th, 2024

I completed my B.Tech from Karunya University, but I can tell you a bit about Sathyabama as well.

Sathyabama offers decent academics, good quality mess food, and good placements. But it is located very far away from the main city (Chennai). Moreover, its infrastructure is not up to the mark. Its biggest disadvantage is that students of the opposite gender are penalized for even interacting with each other. Boys and girls are separated right from the counseling process.

Karunya University is located in a beautiful and serene landscape, and surrounded by mountains on all sides. It has good infrastructure and quality education. Its placements are average. Its hostels are good, and the mess food is good as well. It has strict rules only for first years. It has a diverse student population, with students from other Indian states and countries as well. Hostel is mandatory for B.Techs, but not for some degrees.

It charges high fees, and some of its departments have poor placements. The rules are very strict about clean shaving. The faculty takes out personal grudges on students’ internal grades. Most of the hostels are located far away from the campus.

According to me, Anna University affiliated colleges are much more affordable for B.Tech studies. So you may consider them instead of these two universities.

Is Bharati Vidyapeeth better than DY Patil for applied arts (Pune)?

AM
Anindita Mukherjee Posted On : July 6th, 2021
former Internship at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pune (2020-2021)

Having friends studying in both the institutions, I can say that both are good. If you see, Bharati Vidyapeeth is quite an old institute as compared to DY Patil.

Moreover, Bharati Vidyapeeth is good for applied arts; which is situated in main Pune city. It also has good infrastructure and facilities. On the other hand, DY Patil is famous for engineering and technology which is situated in Akurdi and Pimpri.

The following table gives a brief overview of the institutes:

Categories Bharati Vidyapeeth DY Patil
Course Fee 4.62 lakh 3.78 lakh
Highest CTC 4 LPA 5-8 LPA
Average CTC 3 LPA 3 LPA

If you want to have a good atmosphere, good facilities, experienced teachers & prestigious institutions go for Bharati Vidyapeeth. DY Patil is also a good option but both have minor differences.

Which is better, IT at VIIT Pune or IT at GCE Karad?

AG
Akriti Gupta Posted On : August 23rd, 2023
lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

IT at VIIT Pune seems to be a better choice than IT at GCE Karad because of the quality of education it offers.

  • VIIT is an autonomous college and functions under the umbrella of VIT. Most changes taking place in VIT are implemented in VIIT too so students are offered updated curriculum and better opportunities.
  • The city of Pune will offer better exposure and opportunities than Karad.
  • VIIT has an active entrepreneurship culture almost similar to VIT. So if you are planning to create a startup, this is the best place for you. You will receive constant assistance from the faculties as well as the institute.
  • VIT and VIIT placements are combined so that they attract many companies. This year the average package stood at INR 7.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Ansys Software, BP Singapore, JP Morgan, Veritas, Black Rock, etc.
  • The foreign exchange programs offered by the institute will give you a chance to study abroad in top universities in the USA, Canada, Germany, Singapore, etc.

VIIT Pune is therefore a better choice than GCE Karad given its excellent opportunities and placement scenario. However, being a private college, it charges high fees and the cost of living in Pune should also be considered.

Which college should I prefer among Jaipuria Lucknow, NDIM, JIMS, Asia Pacific, IMS Jaypee Business School, IMS Ghaziabad, and ITM Navi Mumbai? I've got a call for GDPI.

SJ
Sidhharth Jain Posted On : February 21st, 2023
Studied at Delhi Public School

Based on your education as an alumnus of JIMS Rohini (PGDM) and IMS (BBA), and your work experience of 7 years in the skill development sector for higher education in India, you are qualified to answer this question.

It is important to note that the colleges you mentioned are considered to be 'Tier 4 & Tier 5' B-Schools, meaning they are below average in comparison to other B-Schools. The median package offered at these schools is typically around 3-4 LPA with faculty that may not be as competent as those at higher-ranked institutions.

When comparing these institutes, you will find that they charge similar academic fees, but the placement opportunities and international placements they advertise may not always be attainable. Investing 7-8 LPA or more in an unstable job that pays less than half of the fees you paid for your education may not be a wise decision. Additionally, obtaining an MBA from these institutions is not only a financial investment but also an investment of your time and efforts.

For a better return on investment, it is recommended to attempt the CAT exam and try to get into the IIMs or FMS, as opposed to institutions like JIMS Rohini, Jaipuria Institute of Management Noida, or Asia Pacific.

In conclusion, it is not recommended to pursue an MBA from these colleges. A better option may be to invest the money into a fixed deposit or start your own business.

Is MMMUT or JIIT a better option for engineering?

PC
Partho Chandna Posted On : October 16th, 2021
B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida (2021)

Comparing MMMUT and JIIT for engineering, the clear-cut answer is that JIIT is much better than MMMUT.

  • It has many advantages when it comes to the campus, placement, the environment, and such.
  • JIIT is considered to be the best private college among all the colleges that fall under Delhi NCR.
  • The location of the college just adds to the perks. Due to the same, the majority of people are from the NCR so you can expect the kind of environment the college has.
  • The type of people you are surrounded with matters the most in your college life.
  • The placement is surely much better than at MMMUT.
Categories Engineering at JIIT
Course Fee 9.22 lakh
Highest CTC 39 LPA (Adobe)
Average CTC 4-5 LPA
Recruiting Companies Wipro, Infosys, KPMG, American Express, etc.

Therefore, it is suggested that you go for JIIT rather than MMMUT to pursue your studies, as it is located in the heart of the city, which will provide students with numerous advantages. But ultimately it is your decision, so choose what works best for you.
