For CS, which is better: Thadomal College or Vivekananda College in Chembur?
A subject like CS is good enough for your career to shine, be it from any college. It completely depends on the student and what suits his/her requirements.
- The faculty of both the colleges are equally good. They are highly experienced and very cooperative.
- If you prefer a more lively college life, consisting of fun and fests then opt for Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC)
- If the campus environment, infrastructure, and food joints matter more to you then go for Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology (VESIT) Chembur.

What's the point of teaching Engineering Drawing to first year CSE students (RGPV)?
Teaching Engineering Drawing to first year CSE students tends to give them a basic understanding of design, different views(top, front, side, sectional), Projection(1st or 3rd), standards & formats.
ED may be useful in the following cases:

Designing/drawing computer components and games

Developing new software for mech & civil.
Srinivasa Ramanujan (Indian Mathematician) passed Mathematics but failed in languages because of a lack of interest in languages. This means that if you have decided to go in a specific field, you will have to study all subjects in order to pass the exams in college.
Similarly in CSE, you will find courses of not much value once you start working somewhere.
The higher you will climb the ladder of studies, the clearer you will become in which field to choose.
So CSE will be helpful if you switch to CAD or CAM in future. In addition, it helps to develop perception of objects.
Did WES provide ECA on your PTU transcripts? They rejected mine, saying they do not accept transcripts from PTU.
Well, I don’t have much knowledge about whether WES provides ECA on your PTU transcripts or not. But I can assist you with some details I got to know from one of my friends at PTU.
- It depends on the mode of your course.
- There is hardly any chance of rejection of transcripts from PTU. If the mode of the course is regular there won’t be any rejection.
- However, they may reject the tone of course done by correspondence mode if required.
- As far as I know, transcripts from PTU were usually accepted.
- So, a transcript from PTU may not be the primary issue definitely, the issue must be something else for sure.
Please thoroughly check the reason mentioned for rejection before reaching down to any conclusion.
Does IIM Kashipur provide scholarships to its students?
Yes, IIM Kashipur offers multiple scholarships to its students as a source of financial funding. It makes sure no student fails to pursue an MBA just because of a lack of funding. This financial assistance is based on the student's economic background and financial performance.
Need cum merit-based scholarship:
This is different from the scholarships offered by the state and central government based on reservation and poor economic background.
The students whose families' annual income doesn’t exceed INR 5 LPA for the last financial year will be eligible for the scholarship. IIM Kashipur provides 100%, 50%, and 25% fee waivers to eligible students and the criteria will be decided based on economic background and academic performance.

My daughter is getting an admission in IIT Delhi's management course but she has already taken admission in IIM Kozhikode. Should she shift?
IIM Kozhikode is far superior to IIT Delhi. It is regarded as one of the best management education institutes in the world. IIT is a technological institute, whereas IIM is a management institute.
Regardless of location, you should choose IIM Kozhikode over the Department of Management Studies at IIT Delhi. Following are the factors for the same:
- IIM K is a well-established institute with over two decades of experience, and most importantly, it is an IIM.
- It has a higher brand value, better placements. MBB has also visited IIM Kozhikode.
- In terms of faculty, they are top-notch and have experienced in their respective fields.
- The campus is beautiful and extraordinary, and it is only a few hours away from Wayanad. It is a great place to be and no one would want to miss campus life.
You should choose IIM K over DMS IIT Delhi, irrespective of its location. You will not regret it.
Does MUHS hold supplementary exams for first year? And when?
Yes, MUHS conducts supplementary exams for the 1st year. These exams are usually conducted after one and a half months of the declaration of results. The Supplementary students who clear the exam, then join the regular batch. However, the students who failed the supplementary exams are required to repeat their entire 1st year.
Can you help me choose the order of IIT Jodhpur, IIT Mandi, and IIT Dhanbad?
These three colleges are reputed institutions in India. When we are comparing these three, the best option would be IIT Mandi, it has many distinctive features that other institutes lack.
- IIT Mandi is spread across 520 meters and has an eco-friendly campus. They give the students an opportunity to get more involved with nature.
- IIT Mandi is well known for their coding culture, placement support, and research opportunities. IIT Dhanbad is good at student-faculty relationships.
- The standout feature available at IIT Mandi is their branch change policy. You will be given the option to change your branch after your first year. If you want to switch to CSE Branch, it can be fulfilled easily using this policy
If you secure a seat in EE at IIT Mandi, you will get eminent support from renowned scholars for your research and higher studies. The EE branch also provides grand placement support to the students.
The electrical branch of IIT Dhanbad is really weak. When it comes to the ME or CE branch at Mandi, the scholars will help you reach out to foreign universities for your higher studies, but the placement support is comparatively low in this branch. So IIT Dhanbad is better for the ME or CE branch. If you are interested in the fields of biotechnology or engineering physics, IIT Mandi does not have good faculty support.
So, you can select IIT Mandi if you are interested in the CSE field, the EE field, the best campus life, or the branch-changing policy.
Is it worth doing a dual MBA from ISB, Hyderabad?
I am assuming that by dual MBA you are referring to the PGP program offered at ISB Hyderabad that allows you to specialize in 2 majors. You can either choose one concentration area and one industry course or both concentration areas.
This program is definitely worth it as it provides a lot in a limited time. But I am not exactly aware of what you are expecting from this program so I cannot say with certainty whether this course will be worth it for you or not. What I am certain is that ISB Hyderabad has
- Excellently knowledgeable faculty
- Diverse peer groups
- Strong alumni network
So you need to understand your own goals and inclinations to determine the institute's worth.
Is Integrated programme of management of IIM Bodh Gaya worth it?
Whether a course is suitable for a person depends solely on what he wants from the course and his priorities. You cannot generalize a course's value. Yet, in my opinion, it’s a course worth doing for everyone. Some points that speak in favor of this program are
- Unlike the general misconception of IPM being lower in terms of degree, the IPM program at IIM Bodh Gaya offers dual degrees to its students (B.A (Foundations in Management) and a normal MBA).
- Despite being a new IIM, it has carried the legacy of IIM and has proven its worth through its fast-paced growth and 100% placement percentage.
- IIM Bodh Gaya maintains strong international relations with world-class educational institutes like SolBridge International School of Business in South Korea and Montpellier Business School in France through its elite student exchange program
- Its location is one of the reasons many students choose it over other new IIMs. It’s located just 7 km away from the Gaya airport at a Buddhist tourist spot.
So IIM Bodh Gaya in general and its IPM program especially is worth taking.
Are there any foreign exchange student programs available at IIM Shillong?
No, there aren’t any foreign exchange programs available at IIM Shillong. It’s a relatively new IIM and lacks in this aspect.
However, the PGPEx-MBIC program is a joint program between IIM Shillong and the Ocean University of China. Under this program, the students from IIM Shillong go to OUC, China for a period of 4 months. This is part of the international immersion, which also includes a 2-month internship in China. The course is open to foreign nationals as well.
