In 1975, the Institute moved to its present campus. With its seven lakes and verdant beauty, the 135-acre campus provides an idyllic backdrop for the brightest minds in the country to explore. Executives attending Management Development Programmes can stay at the Tata Hall. There are 56 residential rooms, four suites, and three conference rooms. In addition to a post office and ATMs of SBI and ICICI banks, the campus also has a coffee day outlet and medical facilities.

IIM Calcutta has 3 Major Hostels, Old Hostel, White Hostel & New Hostel. Old Hostel is a co-ed Hostel, with separate wings for Girls, the White Hostel & New Hostel are both Male Hostels. Typical Day at IIM Calcutta

There is no Typical One Day in the Life of an IIM Calcutta student. Although a Typical Day consists of Lectures, Assignments, Quizzes etc. Classes usually start at 8-8:30 in the morning and go on till late Evenings. After lectures, Students prepare for a wide range of Competitions & Fun Events.

IIM Calcutta Library

The library of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta was set up in March 1962 and named as B. C. Roy Memorial Library in the memory of Dr. B. C. Roy, the first Chairman of the Institute. The Library has been primarily designed to meet the requirements of the Institute’s academic programmes. The Library has a mammoth collection of more than 1.6 lakhs volumes of books and bound journals. It subscribes to 500 journals and provides access to more than 40,000 online full text journals. It is considered as one of the best management libraries in Asia. Students can access the library on weekdays from 9:15 AM to 6 AM and on Weekends from 10:00 AM to 6:00 Am.
