I didn't choose, I was allotted this course based on my percentage. The faculty-student ratio is good because most of the students don't take classes. Qualification of faculties is good and they have experience and aptitude for teaching. Term exams were time bound but they were difficult to clear as question paper was medium but study material of Philosophy is not readily available and language is hard to grasp and the faculty awarded very low internals and marking was not lenient.
Philosophy as a discipline offers a unique way to enhance your understanding and outlook towards the world. It opens up our minds and transforms us into thinking being. Thus, I opted for the course. The faculty is quite experienced and very humble. The ratio of faculty to students is optimum as Philosophy Honours is a relatively newer course at Hansraj College. The curriculum too is well designed, though some absurdities do exist. Examinations do not have a very heavy bearing as the number of papers is at a maximum of 5, thus giving ample time throughout the semester to prepare and develop a good understanding of the subject
Chose the course because of my interest in the field of Economics and the high scope of the current scenario About 25-30 professors in the faculty and 150 students per year Faculty constitutes of Associate and Assistant professors with qualifications of Master, PhD (or currently completing), B.Ed End Semester exams every 4 months; difficulty to pass 5/10 but manageable
The course is pretty nice and logical. It's more analytical and not rot learning. Also, the faculty is very nice. They make sure that all the topics are clear to us. The term exams are conducted timely but they are just delayed due to Covid.
After having some research and going through several reviews of students that have already studied and also of that who are currently pursuing their degree at Hansraj College I came to the conclusion that the college has a renowned pool of teachers and the college provides a healthy environment for one's overall development. Students in the college can be found from all over India here. The ratio of girls and boys is almost equal with slight variation. Exams are conducted semester-wise every after 6 months. The exams aren't that difficult to pass a basic understanding of the concepts will help you to get through them.
I chose this course as I'm interested in Hindi and j want to do civil services. Faculty to student ratio is 1:20 and the faculty is really good they clear all their doubts and take regular classes. Exams were also timely held and about 90 percent of students passed the exams.
I am pursuing a BA in economics from Hansraj College, DU. I want to become an IAS officer and Hansraj College has the best society for the civil services Exam. The faculty of this college is very good, supportive, and very highly qualified teachers. The teachers are mostly done with Ph.D. and every teacher has cleared the net and UGC exams. The exams are held on every 6 months and semester wise and the difficulty of this exam is above average.
I choose the Ba program in economic history because I want to do an UPSC. The faculty of our college is very good. The faculty is highly qualified. Terms are not much hard to pass because the professor of the college is very good to deal with students.

Both PCB and PCM students are eligible for the BSc geology in du, from 2022 admission to DU is through CUET and application for CUET is generally out in the month of march- April. cut off are generally high in the first and second rounds but can go low in further rounds and increase the chances of admission in the course.
akBy - aditya kushwahaThe admission process was through the cut-off of the class 12th aggregate percentage. The last cut-off for my department was 98.5. The form and application details are available on the DU official website. I didn't have any reservation facilities. I don't think it requires any improvement because now, it's through an entrance test which seems justified to me.
