Dani Review at University Of Nebraska [UNK], Kearney | Collegedunia

College in Kearney Nebraska

D
7.5 /10

It is close to my home town so when I want to go home it only takes me two hours. They have a good exercise science program. The faculty to student ratio is small so you get a lot of personal attention.

Course Curriculum :

It's challenging but fair. It pushes you to learn and go outside your comfort zone but it isn't too hard that you're not capable of completing it. Teachers are very willing to help and be available for outside of class attention.

Exams :

ACT didn't take any university level exams I took with my score. I didn't take any other exams except for the ACT.

Placement :

I would say that placements and job opportunities are good but I am a freshman so do not really know. I think a lot of people from our school are able to get the type of jobs they want in the field they want.

Internship :

Yes, they do provide internships but I have not done one yet so I can not describe the experience or stipend. I think people that have done them would say it is a good experience though. The faculty are very nice and willing to work with students.

Events :

Many different cultures are represented on our campus so we celebrate many different things. I could not list all of them but the campus is very good about representing and celebrating all cultures here as well as the outside community.

Fees :

There are several fees that must be paid in your tuition. Stuff like campus rev, technology, library, tutoring, etc. and they are paid with your semester tuition bill.

Scholarship :

I have a scholarship that was awarded based on my ACT score but there are some that are awarded for written applications.

Examination Structure :

The exam structure is similar to any other college. It is fair but challenging you may encounter several different types of tests depending on your teacher or class. Exams vary from class to teacher so it depends.

Faculty :

They are very nice. Very professional and take pride in their field. They like what they are doing and are very committed to helping their students be the best they can be.

Hostel :

I have only lived in campus housing because it is required as a freshman. It has been an okay experience so far. It can be difficult living with people you don't know very well and in an environment, you are not used to.
