Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because my course is an integrated M-tech course. In this course, I directly get an M-tech degree also from such kind of prestigious college Here faculty and students ratio is too much good And every faculty of this college are doctorate. This is the only college in India with all the faculty members who are PhD Qualified from India's top colleges such as IIT and NIT. There are two exams every semester one is minor and the other is major. Exams are not so demanding and not so easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Btech Mtech in IT because I am interested in a career in the computer science sector. The course curriculum is quite relaxed and to the point. In IIIT Gwalior, we don't have common subjects in the first year. They directly start with advantageous core subjects. DSA starts in the second semester itself. Faculty all have PhDs and are qualified. They teach using lecture slides and solving questions on the board. The quality of faculty and teaching method is on par with other colleges. The student ratio depends on batch, it's somewhere between 60-120. Exams happen exactly as per the schedule and are fairly easy to pass. Studying one night before the exam is enough to pass, given that the student has attended some of the classes. There is a 75% attendance criteria that Some lectures strictly follow.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this college because of my interest in CS/IT field and I want to pursue this interest. faculty: student ratio is 1: 20 due to the fewer number of branches in our college there is less intake of students and that's why our faculty: student ratio is well maintained. In IIITM Gwalior all the faculty members are phd holders & have a grip on their concepts and teach us in the best way. generally, minor exams are conducted in the span of 2 months and after that major exams are conducted after 2 months then the next semester will be started. And If you give attention towards the classes and solved reference books then scoring a good cgpa will be a piece of cake for you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I was more interested in Software Engineering rather than fieldwork engineering. I love coding and developing websites and apps. All faculty members are PHD qualified from good colleges. There is one minor and one major exam in the Institute.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I liked doing computer programming and also wanted to know the internals of the computer and Information Technology is the best course for that. Faculty: The student ratio is very good as the number of total students is around 1150 due to fewer courses in the college, and more than 30 faculty members are there on campus. Most of the faculty is Ph.D. holders and they have good teaching method. As in the college, there is no pre-defined syllabus, so this faculty has a very good advantage and they don't rush toward completing the syllabus. Every professor has created slides regarding the topics they teach and provide the slides right after the class. There is minor exams two months after the start of the semester and a major exam at the end of the semester. Questions asked are simple and are asked from the topics that are taught in class.

Ques. Which course is better in IIITM Gwalior for a 5-year integrated course or a 4-year B.Tech in CS?

● Top Answer By Rohan Singh on 07 Jul 21

You should surely take the 5-year course because it is quite convenient. You will get really good placements with the 5-year course. Additionally, with the 4-year course being just newly introduced, the placements will take some time to develop. The IPG faculty is very good as compared to the B.Tech faculty who are novices. Moreover, you will also save an entire year. If you are interested in coding, you will get an extra year to hone your skills and improve them which would eventually lead to better placements. So between the two, choose the five-year course....Read more

Ques. Is the IIEST Shibpur IT 5 year dual course better than the IIITM Gwalior IT 5 year integrated or the IIITDM Jabalpur CSE BTech?

● Top Answer By Rituparna Acharya on 26 Feb 21

One of my friends was a student of this institute, but he did not know about the 5 years dual degree program in IIEST Shibpur. He told me that no one even knows about this new university's dual degree course; thereby, if you love to get risks, then take admission to enter here. Besides, he told me that he was also unaware of the reputation along with the education quality of the other two institutes. However, in IIEST Shibpur, you will get immense learning opportunities; additionally, education quality is also not bad as it is an ancient institute. Rather it improves a lot after becoming INI. It is challenging to state which institute is better if the student doesn’t know the institute properly. Besides, it is also important to understand what is actually better as the thinking of a student. However, you are from outside of West Bengal, then IIIT Gwalior must be the first priority, although IIEST Shibpur is a reputed institute. The faculties of IIEST Shibpur are experienced enough, but most of them are Bengali. So, preference will be given to students from West Bengal, as the home state would be a great advantage. They will be able to gain all the opportunities like communication. It is because the students from West Bengal can speak in Bengali far better way than the others. If there is a comparison between IIIT Gwalior and Jabalpur, then the suggestion will be for IIIT Gwalior, as it offers better placement than the other. Besides, it also has vastly alleged alumni and knowledgeable faculties....Read more

Ques. Which is better, IIITM Gwalior (Dual IT) vs BITS Pilani (M.Sc Bio)?

● Top Answer By Shahid Baig on 15 Sept 20

The integrated degree program at IIITM Gwalior offers two formats; B.Tech + MBA and B.Tech + M.Tech. While most students might not go for the dual degree, it does offer an advantage over other degrees in the following terms: Students can save one year of master’s degree as integrated programs are of 5 years. Students also get the opportunity to opt for other courses that might not be available in mainstream B.Tech programs. Students can decide on their masters after the third year; about if they want to pursue an MBA or M.Tech. In this choice, IIITM Gwalior is more famous for its M.tech degree rather than an MBA. It also gives students an extra year to prepare for further exams like GSoC, ICPC, and TGMC. Students are also allowed to participate in intense and advanced research projects which add value to their portfolio. One potential drawback could be that an integrated program does not grant you a specific specialization. Students are only awarded an M.Tech degree. However, this factor does not affect placements and dual degree alumni get the same placement offers as mainstream master’s degree students do. The student-faculty ratio in the dual degree program is also high which allows students to get personalized attention by the best research faculty on the campus. BITS Pilani also offers integrated dual degree courses, but the specialization is dependent on the overall performance of the students. Students are given CS or M.Sc Bio depending on their performance in the first year of the integrated program. While M.Sc. Bio has a completely different course structure than CS, it does open several different opportunities for a career in foreign countries. The Biology department at BITS Pilani is relatively reputed for its famous slogan ‘Biology at BITS is taught in a way where you’ll not have to memorize.’ For students who wish to pursue only CS for their integrated degree, it is important to know that getting CS in master’s has a ratio of 1:5 as compared to all other courses. While purely CS students might not be looking at Bio for their Master’s, an M.Sc. in Bio from BITS is highly reputed and prompts students to go for unconventional career options. In the end, it completely depends on the student, if they wish to pursue an integrated degree at IIITM Gwalior or BITS Pilani. However, students need to do their ground research on the modalities and course structure of these courses that are offered....Read more

Ques. Is doing an integrated course from IIITM Gwalior worth it?

● Top Answer By Reshmi Poddar on 21 Sept 20

It depends on what you want to do in the future. If you are interested in pursuing post-doctoral studies, then pursuing 5 years of integrated course from IIITM Gwalior has more pros than cons, thus it's totally worth it. If your aim is to pursue higher studies abroad by clearing GRE then it's better to go for a 4-year course. IIITM Gwalior is one of the 3 institutions in India with 100% Ph.D. faculties. Ranked 100 for engineering by NIRF in 2020, IITM has overall 262 Integrated seats which are comparatively higher than other reputed institutes. Admission : IIITM Gwalior accepts only JEE Main ranking for the admission process. Securing the rank within 7213-14442 in JEE Main will fetch admission in IIITM Gwalior. For general (PWD) category 347-462 bust the ranking in order to secure a seat in B.Tech + M.Tech integrated course. Aspirants of OBC (Non-creamy layer) must secure a rank between 3,800-6300 for the integrated B.Tech + M.Tech courses and rank of 4737-7903 for B.Tech + MBA Integrated course. The admission process is carried through JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round. IIITM Gwalior offers 262 seats for the integrated courses with the yearly Tuition fee of 84,325. Campus : Amidst the picturesque landscape in the foothills of Gwalior fort, the IIITM campus is spread across 160 acres. The campus is equipped with all required facilities for the overall development of students; a huge central library, department libraries, study rooms, well-equipped labs, indoor badminton courts are few to name. There are 30+ labs, amazing infrastructure with air-conditioned classrooms, libraries with thousands of standard books per branch, hostel facilities, food court. Placement statistics : 400+ companies participate in the recruitment process every year. Top recruiters include Amazon, Expedia, IBM, TCS, HCL, DELL, Paytm, Myntra. 90% of the students get placed at top companies with an average salary of 14.58 LPA. The highest domestic CTC offered in 2020 is 42 LPA. 150+ students were recruited on campus in 2020, with Infosys and Cognizant offering the maximum offers. lITM Gwalior is best for integrated courses. But in the end, it's the student's priority which matters. The deciding factor will be the course that you are opting for and future goals....Read more
