KARTIK SINGH's Review On Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute Of Information Technology And Management - [ABVIIITM], Gwalior | collegedunia.com

An Insight into IIITM GWALIOR

Remarks :

One has to clear and score decent percentile in JEE MAINS Examination, and one has to apply through the JOSAA Portal to take admission here. A score of 98.5%ile is enough to take admitted here. The application form is provided after the JOSAA Counselling sessions are over and the college administration asks to report on campus, for fees you can visit the website of the college. With different reservation quotas, you can expect a decrease in the ranks of the JEE MAINS. This college already has a decent way of admission process and I don't there is a need for any improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen this college because of my interest in CS/IT field and I want to pursue this interest. faculty: student ratio is 1: 20 due to the fewer number of branches in our college there is less intake of students and that's why our faculty: student ratio is well maintained. In IIITM Gwalior all the faculty members are phd holders & have a grip on their concepts and teach us in the best way. generally, minor exams are conducted in the span of 2 months and after that major exams are conducted after 2 months then the next semester will be started. And If you give attention towards the classes and solved reference books then scoring a good cgpa will be a piece of cake for you.

Internships Opportunities :

If you have skills like web development & app development then getting an internship is piece of cake for you. you can apply for internships from sites like Internshala & LinkedIn also. By getting an internship in web development you can easily earn around 15000-20000 per month. If you have an interest towards game development you should learn c++ & python for machine learning & web development. If you are able to make a grip on this language you can get a good stipend.

Placement Experience :

Placement is the best part of our's college all the big tech giants companies like google, Paytm, amazon, zomato, Wipro, sprinkler, oracle, etc visited to our college & hire students. the highest package of our's college is 1.95 crores with an average package of 24 LPA. we have a 100% placement record in the last year itself. After getting my degree from college I have to work as a software engineer at big tech companies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Total fees for the one-semester are around 109235 rupees which includes mess and hostel fees also and after each fee will get decrease due to you don't have to one time fees again and again. In 1st year of college itself you can apply for the MCM Scholarship & apply for the National scholarship after that your fee burden will reduce. For financial assistance, there is a 100% exempted from payment of tuition fees for SC/ST students. As I am fresher so I didn't apply for any internship but as our seniors are already placed at big giant companies such as Google, oracle, Microsoft, sprinkler, etc. our's highest package is 1.95 crores with an average package of 24 LPA.

Campus Life :

Aurora: this is a cultural festival held over a period of three days in the month of February/ march. Aurora should not look upon as just a cultural event but as an attempt to promote the friendship, teamwork and alliances. our tech-fest name is Infotsav: our college organises events that acknowledge technological innovation and it is conducted every year. our library is the central biggest library in which over 30000+ books are available & our library boasts almost 80 journal titles both from India and abroad. Amenities in classrooms such as projector, laser light, chairs, fans, AC, black & whiteboard. we have a sports complex in which you can play all the sports such as badminton, table tennis, squash, one basketball court, one cricket ground & one football ground. In IIITM gwalior there are various club such as Rotaract (which work for social welfare), Uthaan(recreational club), SGM(helps poor children by teaching them), E-cell & IEEE.

Hostel Facilities :

our's hostel room are provide with single bed, table, chair, fan, lights & LAN ports. meal quality provided is of decent level. hostel fees is around 24000 per year which is quite better than day scholars one. students are provide with 4 meals a day with breakfast, lunch, snacks & dinner. hostel is quite affordable and you don't have to register seperately it will be added to your's all semester wise fees. locality is also good you can get easily rented room.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Basically, when I was a child I wanted to be an IAS officer but as I grew up I have to suppress my dream because of financial problems. So I choose to do B. Tech so that I could get a job as soon as possible and could support my family. My father is in the water supply department but the government is not paying their wages. My father is working for 18 years. So that's why I choose B. Tech and I think choosing the B.Tech was the correct option for me. If I talk about my faculty and student ratio. Actually, they are balanced in the sense faculty are sufficient to handle 500 students at once. Our college faculty is very good because I experienced their behaviour they are very humble, respected faculty in our college not only college but also in Gwalior. And their teaching method is best. Whatever they teach it presented into the mind directly and you can ask them as many times as you want.

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Every year placement record of MITs is improving, last year highest package of 1cr is availed by a student however it was off campus. But the average package was also 6 cr which is far better than other colleges in MP if you do not include IIT, NITs, and IIITs. Last year a total of 50 companies visited, and a total of 940 offers were made. about 70% of students are getting placement in MITS. My plan is open a startup after getting a degree with my colleagues.
