I have chosen this course because of the package. In this college, this curriculum is so chill you can get good marks with less effort. Even we have enough time to enrich our tech skills to achieve a great package. The faculties are Ph.D. holders from IITs but they don't teach anything. Exams occur 2 times in one semester. Exams are very easy to pass, you can get good marks by studying less

A close friend of mine is an alumnus of IIITM Gwalior and he was able to give me some information regarding the institute. The curriculum for CSE at IIITM Gwalior is quite good. CSE students do not have much academic load. The only thing you need to concentrate on is focusing on problem-solving skills(like designing algorithms, etc.) through coding. You should work at least 4-6 hours per day to hone these skills online, especially during the first two years of engineering. It is not difficult to score an 8.0 CGPA, but you need to put in your honest work. However, targeting 9.0+ CGPA can be a challenge....Read more

Both the institutes are famous. But for the CSE branch, NIT Goa is the better alternative. The reason is placement and recruiters that visit the campus are much better than IIITM. The placement statistics of NIT Goa are below. Let us go with a side by side comparison of both the colleges on the basis of the following factors: NIRF Ranking, Faculty and Placements. NIRF Ranking: As per NIRF 2020, NIT Durgapur has been ranked 47th whereas IIITM Gwalior has been given a rank above 100. Faculty: Having friends in both of the colleges I can share their views, and according to their personal experience the faculty at IIITM Gwalior is one of the best faculties out there in India. Also, you will get good research facilities in IIITM Gwalior. Placements: As many of you might find this a major point while choosing colleges, you should know that NIT Durgapur offers placements for CSE branch with an average package of 6.5 lac pa and 29 lac pa being the highest package. I have few friends at both IIITM Gwalior and IIITDM Jabalpur. Based on the conversation I had with them, I will say IIITM Gwalior is the better option for CSE. The faculty at IIITM Gwalior is great. Most of the faculty members have Ph.D. The placement record of IIITM Gwalior is also quite impressive. Here are the recent placement statistics for the institute. You should surely take the 5-year course because it is quite convenient. You will get really good placements with the 5-year course. Additionally, with the 4-year course being just newly introduced, the placements will take some time to develop. The IPG faculty is very good as compared to the B.Tech faculty who are novices. Moreover, you will also save an entire year. If you are interested in coding, you will get an extra year to hone your skills and improve them which would eventually lead to better placements. IIITM Gwalior offers 4-year degree courses along with five years of an integrated program. The CSE department is better in every aspect. Following points brief about the same: The core subjects are taught in the first semester itself. In the second semester, courses like data structures, database management systems, and discrete mathematics will be offered There are some management papers as well which will help you in learning managerial tactics. The batch strength at IITM Gwalior is quite less which makes it very easy to handle. You can interact and clear your doubts with the faculty members often. The coding culture of the college is very good. Even though you do not know to code you will learn from the seniors and batchmates. One of my friends studied at DTU. To him, it is at par with old IITs and BITS. Let us see why he preferred DTU over any other IIITs or IITs. DTU has a 100% placement record. Almost all the big companies like Adobe, Google, Microsoft visit their campus for placement The salary package sometimes reaches as high as 1.25 crores. Recently there has been a change in the system of electives as you can study any subject of any branch. You can also choose online courses which are not present in most of the IITs. You can do everything there if you wanna write a research paper and have it published. Then, you can opt for writing a research paper instead of studying the subject. Having friends studying at both the institutions, I can say that both the colleges IIITDM Jabalpur and IIITM Gwalior are good. It will be a difficult choice to select one among them. Both the colleges have a good reputation and provide their students with good Infrastructure, faculties, culture, and placements. Here’s discussing some facts about them which might guide you. IT (Integrated) at IIITM Gwalior: If you want to go for higher education then it will take you 1 year less. You can pursue M.Tech again after the dual degree from IITs, but not many do that, they go for Ph.D. instead. IIITM Gwalior definitely has a better coding culture and alumni network than IIITDM Jabalpur. If you think that IT is a lower level compared to CSE then think twice. Placement wise both are at par. There may be a bit of difference between the two in the course content but you can nullify it by self-studying. You will get to sharpen your skills and work on more projects, learn more things in the one extra year. It never goes to waste. CSE at IIITDM Jabalpur: I would suggest you opt for it if you want to go into the workforce right after graduation and don’t want to spend one extra year.
