ABV-IIITM Gwalior - Not so popular but one of the best

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is updated as compared to IITs and NITs we study Python and C language in the first sem only, and data structures in the second sem. All faculties are Ph.D. holders and awesome, dedicated, and cooperative but maintaining CGPA over here wouldn't be easy. We have mid sems and end sem in a semester that lasts for 6 months.

Mechanical at DCE/DTU is ranked 2nd and 34th among India’s best technological universities by TES and NIRF ranking. The institute consists of 230 faculties with a placement record of 100% every year. ABV-IIITM Gwalior offers full-time integrated courses such as BTech+MTech, BTech+MBA. The course provides a synchronous curriculum covering IT facets and management. ABV-IIITM Gwalior ranked 76th for MBA by NIRF Ranking 2020. Admission process:- DCE/DTU The minimum eligibility criteria for admissions is 60% marks in 10+2 from a recognized board. The candidates’ final selection is based on the score in JEE Main, followed by Joint Admission Counselling (JAC). The total seats allocated for this course is 186. The course fee required is INR 7.81 LPA. The cutoff required is a closing rank of 32382. ABV-IIITM Gwalior The essential eligibility criteria are a minimum of 75% aggregate in 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Ques. Is the IIEST Shibpur IT 5 year dual course better than the IIITM Gwalior IT 5 year integrated or the IIITDM Jabalpur CSE BTech?

One of my friends was a student of this institute, but he did not know about the 5 years dual degree program in IIEST Shibpur. He told me that no one even knows about this new university's dual degree course; thereby, if you love to get risks, then take admission to enter here. Besides, he told me that he was also unaware of the reputation along with the education quality of the other two institutes. However, in IIEST Shibpur, you will get immense learning opportunities; additionally, education quality is also not bad as it is an ancient institute. Rather it improves a lot after becoming INI. It is challenging to state which institute is better if the student doesn’t know the institute properly. Besides, it is also important to understand what is actually better as the thinking of a student. However, you are from outside of West Bengal, then IIIT Gwalior must be the first priority, although IIEST Shibpur is a reputed institute. The faculties of IIEST Shibpur are experienced enough, but most of them are Bengali. So, preference will be given to students from West Bengal, as the home state would be a great advantage. They will be able to gain all the opportunities like communication. It is because the students from West Bengal can speak in Bengali far better way than the others. If there is a comparison between IIIT Gwalior and Jabalpur, then the suggestion will be for IIIT Gwalior, as it offers better placement than the other. Ques. Which is better, IIITM Gwalior (Dual IT) vs BITS Pilani (M.Sc Bio)?

The integrated degree program at IIITM Gwalior offers two formats; B.Tech + MBA and B.Tech + M.Tech. While most students might not go for the dual degree, it does offer an advantage over other degrees in the following terms: Students can save one year of master’s degree as integrated programs are of 5 years. Students also get the opportunity to opt for other courses that might not be available in mainstream B.Tech programs. Students can decide on their masters after the third year; about if they want to pursue an MBA or M.Tech. In this choice, IIITM Gwalior is more famous for its M.tech degree rather than an MBA. It also gives students an extra year to prepare for further exams like GSoC, ICPC, and TGMC. Students are also allowed to participate in intense and advanced research projects which add value to their portfolio. One potential drawback could be that an integrated program does not grant you a specific specialization. Students are only awarded an M.Tech degree. However, this factor does not affect placements and dual degree alumni get the same placement offers as mainstream master’s degree students do. The student-faculty ratio in the dual degree program is also high which allows students to get personalized attention by the best research faculty on the campus. BITS Pilani also offers integrated dual degree courses, but the specialization is dependent on the overall performance of the students. Students are given CS or M.Sc Bio depending on their performance in the first year of the integrated program. While M.Sc. Bio has a completely different course structure than CS, it does open several different opportunities for a career in foreign countries. The Biology department at BITS Pilani is relatively reputed for its famous slogan ‘Biology at BITS is taught in a way where you’ll not have to memorize.’ For students who wish to pursue only CS for their integrated degree, it is important to know that getting CS in master’s has a ratio of 1:5 as compared to all other courses. While purely CS students might not be looking at Bio for their Master’s, an M.Sc. in Bio from BITS is highly reputed and prompts students to go for unconventional career options. In the end, it completely depends on the student, if they wish to pursue an integrated degree at IIITM Gwalior or BITS Pilani. It depends on what you want to do in the future. If you are interested in pursuing post-doctoral studies, then pursuing 5 years of integrated course from IIITM Gwalior has more pros than cons, thus it's totally worth it. If your aim is to pursue higher studies abroad by clearing GRE then it's better to go for a 4-year course. IIITM Gwalior is one of the 3 institutions in India with 100% Ph.D. faculties. Ranked 100 for engineering by NIRF in 2020, IITM has overall 262 Integrated seats which are comparatively higher than other reputed institutes. Admission : IIITM Gwalior accepts only JEE Main ranking for the admission process. Securing the rank within 7213-14442 in JEE Main will fetch admission in IIITM Gwalior. For general (PWD) category 347-462 bust the ranking in order to secure a seat in B.Tech + M.Tech integrated course. Aspirants of OBC (Non-creamy layer) must secure a rank between 3,800-6300 for the integrated B.Tech + M.Tech courses and rank of 4737-7903 for B.Tech + MBA Integrated course. The admission process is carried through JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round. IIITM Gwalior offers 262 seats for the integrated courses with the yearly Tuition fee of 84,325. Campus : Amidst the picturesque landscape in the foothills of Gwalior fort, the IIITM campus is spread across 160 acres.
