Zakir Husain - the oldest college of DU

TN

Remarks :

The admission process was new this year as we had to take cuet exam and then we were allotted college by the University, it was all new for the batch of 22. Obviously, the cutoffs were high as it's Delhi University but I managed to get in.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good as we are made to study practical subjects like principles of marketing, human resource management, company law business law and many more. The faculty members are really nice and cooperative.

Internships Opportunities :

The placement cell of Zakir Husain offers many opportunities every month by circulating the details of available internships to their students through their Instagram handles and WhatsApp groups. Many companies like Colgate Nestle tcs have offered internships to students.

Placement Experience :

Placements are fine for this college and it provides an average annual package of 400000 a year. Students having cgpa of 8 or more mostly get into placements and companies like Colgate and tcs have come to the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure at Delhi University is very good and low, which is why many people want to get in in the first place. My first year fee was only 10180 rupees and talking about assistance the college is very cooperative.

Campus Life :

Classrooms are fine. There is a clean canteen which provides cheap and good food. There is a big ground on which students can sit and hang out. The locality is good outside of college and social life in the college is fine

Placement Experience:

We are eligible for placement after the competition of 2nd year. Companies like Infotech, Wipro, and Havells are the recruiters of the college. The highest package is around 13 Lakh and the average is between 5-7 Lakhs as I understand now. More than 7.5 cgpa required to sit in placement.

To be very honest I really don't know what the criteria were for students to be eligible for the placement. I am yet to know about that from any senior or faculty members. It will be really helpful.

Students are eligible for the placements in 3rd year and our college offers one of the best placements in DU. HR Managers of bug companies visit our college and eligible students give their interviews and they usually get selected in a good ratio. The highest package from our college went around 45 lakhs per annum last year. I'll surely give my interview in the placement and try to grab the placement

The campus provides placement opportunities. Internships are also circulated. Around 100+ recruiters visit campus. The highest package offered in 2022 was 32,00,000. However, compared to a large number of students the placement ratio is less.
