Zakir Hussain Delhi College Review -

Remarks :

The main way to get in to the exam is through CUET, followed by the DU counseling through the website of DU, which will provide all the admission forms and fees information. Eligibility of this course was 12th pass. Reservation is provided in various manners like EWS, SC/ST/OBC, sports, PWD which certificates are required during the counselling process

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as I am interested in this line, psychology is a growing field in India today. And DU has a good reputation especially this college for psychology courses. The student-faculty ratio is 6:1 for a year batch, the faculty is very well educated and experienced with many PhD holders, and the teaching method is the classical classroom teaching but it's effective Exams are held every 4-5 months, they are usually mild in difficulty.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships aren't provided by the college, students must seek them out themselves based on their preferences. However the faculty encourages getting internships and the college is supportive of students pursuing internships, there is a placement and internship cell that provides all the opportunities

Placement Experience :

The placements of the college are good as far as I know, with the average LPA reaching from 7 to 15 in the last few years, Since this is a major arts college, there aren't necessarily any companies visiting the college but students seeking out jobs themselves.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Courses are really affordable as it is a government institution, and there are very few chances for scholarships, these are usually provided to economically weaker section students. There is scope for financial assistance but not in campus jobs.

Campus Life :

This college lacks a field, so any sports or field activities like its NCC march are carried out in other DU fields. However, it has a good library with a good availability of books and journals. It has a number of clubs, like theatre club AMAN, music clubs, dance clubs, debating clubs etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B. A vocation studies (SME) because I want to study the role of various SMEs in our Indian industry. The faculty of CVS is helpful and well qualified and the student ratio in the class is also good. The exams were held on a semester basis. And the exam difficulty is totally dependent upon your studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in Political Science and therefore I opted for Political Science Honours The faculty of our college are well experienced and have a teaching experience of over 20 years, the student-teacher ratio is around 70:1 Most of the faculty members have graduated from the University of Delhi. The examinations are generally conducted every 3-4 months and in terms of difficulty, the questions are generally set in a manner that if a student has a basic knowledge about the topic he/she can easily write about it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

History and political science both are very interesting subjects. These subjects can connect with the working of institutions which are working throughout our country. The history of the country is highly impressive. 60 students per teacher the ratio is quite shocking. I think there should be an improvement in this ratio. Teachers are highly educated Phd holders having high regarding their subject. There are many easy with which they can understand students even very difficult topics too. exams were held every 6month but due to covid, these exams were held in three months.

Placement Experience:

During the last year of graduation, students May get placement but there is a very low chance for BA students. The company that visited in our college is not so famous so I can't get the name of company in my head. The highest package was 10 lakh for a student of Commerce. Very few percentages of students get placement. Don't hope for a placement in this college. After getting my degree I will give a competition exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to do preparation for SAC or upsc and this course will help me with that. The faculty is quite good and they are always ready to help the students. The student ratio in this is quite large and the class for this course is filled. faculties are very highly qualified they know the way of teaching and everything. They teach very well. If we get any doubts they clear without asking questions and all. It's my first year and I haven't taken any exams yet we have 6 semesters and we have to take exams 6 times. I think it will be a little hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because these types of courses are very helpful for further preparation in civil service examinations. I'm from Delhi university, school of open learning. For SOL students, there are proper online classes and teachers are very humble and helpful. In courses like the BA Programme, a large number of students are there, if I compare this with other courses I will say that most of the students are choosing this course Examinations are taken in semesters like in each year there will be two semesters. I will say that for a student who is hardworking and dedicated to his/ her study, no difficulty is there to pass the examinations. It all depends on our hard work and dedication.
