Mehul Goyal's Review On IIT BHU - Indian Institute Of Technology, Varanasi | collegedunia.com

IDD, IIT BHU Varanasi

Remarks :

The entrance exam is JEE advanced l Yes, there are reservation benefits like in other IITs. Entrance is made through JOSAA counselling consisting of 7 rounds and now it reduced to 6 it's a very long and smooth process. you will get a seat in iit according to your JEE advanced rank.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because this is the only branch that I can get in this iit bhu as per my JEE rank .faculty to student ratio is pretty good. faculties are highly qualified. there are two examinations in a 4-month semester i.e. mid and end-semester examinations.

Internships Opportunities :

There are high chances to get an internship in our dream company and tpc of our college provides us with various opportunities. Students are offered internships in their fifth semester (for btech.) and the maximum stipend offered is 2.5-3 lakhs per month.

Placement Experience :

Placements are awesome on the campus. And a student become eligible after its 7th semester and around 350-400 companies had visited in this placement drive of 2022. I'm currently in idd (Integrated dual degree) and fill face the scenario of placement in the upcoming session. Highest package offered- 1.2 Cr per annum Average package offered- 12 Lpa

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no as such fee hike policy in iit bhu and as in other iits it depends on the central government. Since I am in an income slab of greater than 5 lacs so I had to pay about 2.5 lakhs per year for academic + mess.

Campus Life :

There are 3 large festivals in our college named Kashiyatra, technex and spardha. There are various books available in departmental as well as common Library. The classrooms are nice but they are not air-conditioned, unfortunately. Sports and extra-curricular activities are very good and encouraged on our campus l. There are around 5 councils and around 48 clubs for your engagement in extra-curricular l.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel does have all the basic necessities like a badminton court, tt table, common hall with a lead and the mess have above average food quality as compared to other iits. There is no such registration process for hostels you do get it along with your academic registration.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. They visited companies are Infosys, HDFC Bank, HCL, and TCS are the major recruiters. The highest Package was 12 Lpa And Avg Package was 4 Lpa. Percentage of students getting placement is 60%. I would definitely go for off-campus placements of my skills and hard work. Don't depend on college placement.

A placement year can give students inspiration for final-year projects and dissertations. It can also help develop your soft skills, such as being able to work in a team and the ability to solve complex problems, which are all valuable assets for both your academic and professional career, as Jasmine experienced.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester itself. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the sixth semester. If you are from a computer background then be assured of 100% placement. Other courses available are MBA, BCA MTECH integrated etc. Mostly every student gets placed to maintain the reputation of the college. It has an average package of 500000 per year. After getting the degree I'll be working in the software field

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose ECE because it is very interesting and gets you good placements. Faculty is very strict about core studies so it is hard to manage side interests. The faculty is well-qualified for teaching and will help you with your curriculum always. Exams are hosted twice every semester and are easy to pass.

Placement Experience:

The placement at my colleagues is good. We are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited my college are Infosys, HCL, Dot square and many more. I don't have any information about that offers. The highest package of my college is 25 lpa and the average package of my college is 3 lpa. 70-80% of students get the placements. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own startup.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are excellent, better than most IITs. Placements are held at the end of the 7th semester. Hundreds of companies visit the campus. Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Sprinkler, Uber, Amazon, Oracle, Cisco, Flipkart, Samsung, Salesforce, and Adobe. A lot of software and banking MNCs hire from IITBHU, also companies hire in core subjects such as Electronics and Mechanical Mining too. More than 300+ PPO offers were given, the Highest package -1,20,00,000 The average CTC of CSE is easily above 45 lakhs. Similarly for lower branches. most companies are open to all branches. this any student can easily get a package above 20 even in lower branches. All students are placed every year unless they want to go for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As there are a lot of job opportunities in this branch and course. Faculty are in proportion with that if students. All facilities are Ph.D. Exams are moderated and difficult and in each semester, we have sessional and pre-University.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT BHU are stellar and beat almost every other IIT. From the 2.15 crore package for CSE last year and very high placements for every branch viz a viz 52 lakhs averaged out by branches. Almost all students who want to get placed barring the few students who continue with studies or prepare for Civil Service. IIT BHU is competent as all major companies that visit any IIT pan India will visit BHU due to the dynamic placement structure
