IIT BHU review

Remarks :

I applied for JEE mains on the NTA website and cleared the cutoff which was followed by JEE advanced for which I registered on the JEE advanced website. I obtained AIR 2325 and took admitted to IIT BHU Electronics.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose Electronics because of it being a circuital branch and having good placement opportunities associated with it. The ratio is around 1:123, Faculties are usually PhDs and reviews happen after every semester. 2 examinations were held each semester within a gap of 2 months. Passing is relatively simple.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies come at the start of 3rd year offering internship opportunities with stipends varying from 20000 to 200000 in fields of software development, analytics, data science, and product. I was offered an app development internship by a startup where I gained experience in working with react native.

Placement Experience :

The college has 100% placements. Students can sit for placements in the seventh semester. Around 400 companies visited our campus and 1000 offers were made. The average package was 14L. I plan to join an MNC as a software developer after college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee per sem for general male students. Tutuion : around 100000, Hostel: 5000, Mess: 15000, Scholarships are available for students from economically weaker backgrounds and students with reservations Scholarships based on merit and various state programs are also present.

Campus Life :

Life in the campus is good. sports, tech, and social fests are conducted once a year and multiple small events take place throughout the year. The library is open to all and almost all books are available. Amenities in classrooms are very basic and minimal. A lot of clubs and groups are run for various interests of the students.

Hostel Facilities :

Rooms are very basic and provide a bed, table, chair, and electricity. Meal quality is decent and the menu is shuffled throughout the week and students can pay extra and get what they want. The hostel is mandatory for all students and registrations are included in college registrations.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. They visited companies are Infosys, HDFC Bank, HCL, and TCS are the major recruiters. The highest Package was 12 Lpa And Avg Package was 4 Lpa. Percentage of students getting placement is 60%. I would definitely go for off-campus placements of my skills and hard work. Don't depend on college placement.

A placement year can give students inspiration for final-year projects and dissertations. It can also help develop your soft skills, such as being able to work in a team and the ability to solve complex problems, which are all valuable assets for both your academic and professional career, as Jasmine experienced.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester itself. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the sixth semester. If you are from a computer background then be assured of 100% placement. Other courses available are MBA, BCA MTECH integrated etc. Mostly every student gets placed to maintain the reputation of the college. It has an average package of 500000 per year. After getting the degree I'll be working in the software field

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose ECE because it is very interesting and gets you good placements. Faculty is very strict about core studies so it is hard to manage side interests. The faculty is well-qualified for teaching and will help you with your curriculum always. Exams are hosted twice every semester and are easy to pass.

Placement Experience:

The placement at my colleagues is good. We are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited my college are Infosys, HCL, Dot square and many more. I don't have any information about that offers. The highest package of my college is 25 lpa and the average package of my college is 3 lpa. 70-80% of students get the placements. My plan after getting the degree is to start my own startup.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are excellent, better than most IITs. Placements are held at the end of the 7th semester. Hundreds of companies visit the campus. Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Sprinkler, Uber, Amazon, Oracle, Cisco, Flipkart, Samsung, Salesforce, and Adobe. A lot of software and banking MNCs hire from IITBHU, also companies hire in core subjects such as Electronics and Mechanical Mining too. More than 300+ PPO offers were given, the Highest package -1,20,00,000 The average CTC of CSE is easily above 45 lakhs. Similarly for lower branches. most companies are open to all branches. this any student can easily get a package above 20 even in lower branches. All students are placed every year unless they want to go for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As there are a lot of job opportunities in this branch and course. Faculty are in proportion with that if students. All facilities are Ph.D. Exams are moderated and difficult and in each semester, we have sessional and pre-University.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT BHU are stellar and beat almost every other IIT. From the 2.15 crore package for CSE last year and very high placements for every branch viz a viz 52 lakhs averaged out by branches. Almost all students who want to get placed barring the few students who continue with studies or prepare for Civil Service. IIT BHU is competent as all major companies that visit any IIT pan India will visit BHU due to the dynamic placement structure
