Palak Arya's Review On Kirori Mal College - [KMC], New Delhi | collegedunia.com

college years teach you a lot

PA

Remarks :

The admission process was quite smooth. Only a couple of forms had to be filled in and soon the cut-off lists were out. I got admission in the 4th cut-off list with 97% as my best four. The payment was made and college began within 15 days of the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose B.Com Hons because I chose commerce stream after my 10th standard. I was always inclined towards accounts as a subject, and B.Com hons provided accounts as a major subject. The course curriculum is very sorted and understandable. I believe all of this will definitely play a huge role in the career we choose further. The faculty members are also great, they put in a lot of effort.

Internships Opportunities :

Our college brings all sorts of profiles for internships ranging from Finance, Actuarial to Sales and Marketing. It provides both in-office and work-from-home opportunities which become very convenient for college kids like us. The stipend also ranges from Rs 2000 to even Rs 30000 per month.

Placement Experience :

The campus placement is also not that bad. We have a few big fours that approach us and recruit a handful of people. Deloitte US, took around 15-17 people in the placement drive this year. Apart from that, we have companies like LEK, Accenture, etc. that come for recruiting students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The cost to study at KMC, Delhi University is very minimal in my opinion. Our yearly fees amount to approximately Rs 13000, and we get a lot of facilities/exposure in exchange. We get placement opportunities and internship opportunities that definitely are worth more than the fees paid by us.

Campus Life :

The campus though small, is great. We have all the facilities like a canteen, library, reading room, Basketball court, Football ground everything. We also have a gym which is open for all during the given times. The societies in college offer very great exposure to each and every one. We develop interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills which are very important for the future.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bcom Honours, it's quite an interesting course where you focus on different areas but in most semesters you have accounts as a core subject. Faculty is kinda nice and good where you can talk with lectures about problems and inquiry Lecturers helps with problem if you face in college, though the admin office works very slowly and you often see students in the window of the admin office because there was a mistake

Placement Experience:

Placement cell works very hard in our college to get placement for students with good internships and placement packages. there are so many companies visiting, the average package would be more than 4 lakhs rupees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I was pursuing a professional course, so I can manage my studies easily. My college has an average faculty-student ratio. Teaching methods are also good in the college. Term exams were every six months and they were not that difficult to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in it. The faculty is very good and gives their best time to time and they not only cover course but help in life advises also. The faculty is supportive. There is only one exam semester exam which is easy to pass and there is some internals that is of 25 marks and the exam is of 75 marks. Internal includes assignments, tests, and 5 marks are of attendance. The faculty is well educated and the teachers too good. If you are regular in your classes then you will score well as you can ride with the flow of the teacher. The faculty knows how to complete the syllabus within time with all the concepts cleared .some teachers are average but the majority of the faculty is supportive. They advise you in every manner they can. Doubts are also resolved via WhatsApp or call as teachers are always available for doubt sessions. we have some smart classes or labs where teachers teach on whiteboards making the concept easier to understand and retain.

Placement Experience:

The placements are not the best but not the worst either. I got placed in EY which gives me the chance to be a part of the Big 4. The placements are more dependent on individual capabilities rather than the college itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the college was famous for its Commerce faculty so opted for the B.Com pass course. The faculties were experienced and expert in imparting the relevant subject knowledge with relevant examples and deep knowledge.
