Kirori Mal College Selection Criteria

B.A (Prog) and B.A. (Hons) English/Hindi/Urdu/Sanskrit: The applicant must have studied and passed English in the qualifying exam and should include English for calculation of the ‘Best Four’ percentage.
B.A. (Hons) History/Political Science/Geography/Economics: Economics aspirants must have studied and passed Mathematics at the qualifying exam for admission to B.A. (Honours) in Economics.
B.Com/B.Com. (Hons): Selection shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination including one language and three best subjects as per the following:
- An aggregate of 45% (40% for B.Com.) or more in English/Hindi and a combination of the best three among the following subjects: Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics, and Business Studies/ Commerce.
- The inclusion of any subject from List B other than mentioned above in the combination of the best three will lead to a deduction of 1% per subject on the aggregate.
B.Sc/B.Sc. (Hons): Selection will be made on the basis of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science, Mathematics.

Likes

Faculty and quality of students is one of the best in commerce
The campus life in itself, and proximity of the college as everything is very accessible from our location.
The best thing is affordability of the college but excluding the residential costs if you did not get admitted to hostel than about minimum of 8000 per month have to be spent.
The college library is a very calm place to sit and study.
I like the thing that decent placement opportunities are available at kirori Mal College.

Dislike

The canteen also needs to be renovated at least one time
Whenever there is a fest a lot of students come from other colleges so the crowd is a little difficult to manage .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose B.Com Hons because I chose commerce stream after my 10th standard. I was always inclined towards accounts as a subject, and B.Com hons provided accounts as a major subject. The course curriculum is very sorted and understandable. I believe all of this will definitely play a huge role in the career we choose further. The faculty members are also great, they put in a lot of effort.
