Remarks :
Admission was offered through JOSAA counseling considering JEE mains score. You can visit jeemain.nta.ac.in to register for the 2023 session. Application fees for males are 1000 and for females 800. You can apply for the next JEE mains session from Feb 14 to March 12, 2023. The admission process is simple but I don't like the shift system because it makes the whole process luck based.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Curriculum gets updated more frequently than most universities. The last revision of our syllabus happened in 2017. I chose IT because I believe in the current era IT is the enabler and the field which is ever-evolving has a lot going on. The faculty-student ratio has been good. Talking and discussing with professors is never an issue. Most of the teaching faculty has at least a doctorate from premier colleges and many employ innovative methods for student evaluation and teaching. We saw our professors adapt to the online ecosystem very fast this COVID.
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies visit campus throughout the 6th sem for internships. Most of them are with a stipend. The maximum stipend was 1.5 lac per month by winzo games. You can also opt to pursue projects under professors if you want to.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Many top companies like Amazon, DE Shaw, Google, Meesho, etc visit the campus. The highest package was offered by DE Shaw which was around 62 Lakhs. The average package for BTrch is 13.89 lakh. More than 82% of students were placed in Btech.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are different fee structures for students from different categories. Your pay depends upon your yearly income, NIT Kurukshetra alumni association provides financial assistance and the top 3 students get scholarships as well. The maximum tuition fee you have to pay right now is 62,500.
Campus Life :
The campus organises annual techfest called Techspardha which recently concluded in February. Many famous people came for lectures including Aman Dhattarwal. There are a lot of informative books and resources in the library, recently we launched a Mlibrary for students to access study material even when they are not on campus. Most classrooms have smart boards and Air conditioning, and labs are even better. You can pursue any indoor or outdoor sports, dance clubs, drama, music, etc. In case you don't find what you like, you can make your own club or society Simple. All the clubs including cultural clubs for dance, music, dramatics, etc are run by students. Even the societies organising our fests are run by students only.
