Remarks :
For getting into IIMs, the CAT examination is to be given. Scores of CAT in addition to profiles are considered for shortlists for the interviews. IIM Bangalore has a little more weightage for work experience too.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In terms of curriculum and faculty, the college offers a great variety and exposure. Projects as a part of courses help me understand those concepts and apply them in a practical environment. Also, there are opportunities to do projects under faculty and also work towards the research part if interested.
Internships Opportunities :
IIM Bangalore has a dedicated placement cell that works towards facilitating internships for students. The process starts around November and it is a 5-day process. Companies that come provide roles in almost all sectors and fields.
Placement Experience :
IIM Bangalore has 100% placements for internships as well as final placements. The process for an internship starts around November. It is a 5-day process. About final placements, there are two parts to it - laterals and finals. Laterals are focused more on placing people with certain years of work experience while finals are open to all.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for the college are about 25 lakhs. There are opportunities for getting scholarships, and financial assistance in form of loans. Also, the placement cell facilitates and helps with internships and placements.
Campus Life :
Campus life is pretty amazing. One has opportunities to be part of multiple activities like clubs and committees and also some other events that happen. There are 3 fests that happen - 2 business fests ( Vista and Eximius) and 1 cultural fest(Unmaad). Vista and Eximius happen around July-August and Unmaad takes place in February.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel Rooms are very well facilitated. Single rooms for each individual. Washrooms though are common but overall maintenance and cleanliness are well maintained. Also, there is a mess facility available and the quality and variety of food are way above what one had in undergraduate colleges.
