It will not be fair to compare BITS Pilani and BIT Sindri. There is no collation between both of the colleges, and BITS Pilani is way ahead in terms of all factors such as Placement, Infrastructure, Educational, Ambience, Labs, etc. despite being a Private college.

BITS Pilani is compared with IITs. On the other hand, BIT Sindri is newly established and comes under Government College in Jharkhand and is guided and run by the state government.

Here are some statistics regarding the institute which may help you differentiate the institutes.

If you are a student looking to pursue an engineering degree, it is important to consider the quality of the Computer Science teachers at your college. It is essential to have teachers who possess the necessary skills and expertise to teach the subject in a way that prepares you for the real world.

When it comes to Computer Science teachers, it is important to note that not all of them are created equal. Some teachers may have outdated teaching styles and may not be up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry. This can be detrimental to your education and can leave you ill-prepared for the job market.

If you feel that the Computer Science teachers at your college are not good enough, it is important to voice your concerns to the appropriate authorities. You can speak with your academic advisor or the department head to express your thoughts and provide feedback.

Additionally, you can also take the initiative to supplement your education outside of the classroom. There are a wealth of resources available online, including tutorials, videos, and forums where you can interact with other students and professionals in the field. By taking advantage of these resources, you can gain valuable insights and knowledge that can help you succeed in your studies and future career.

In conclusion, the quality of the Computer Science teachers at your college is an important factor to consider when pursuing an engineering degree. If you feel that the teachers are not up to par, it is important to speak up and take proactive steps to supplement your education. Remember that your education is in your hands, and by taking ownership of it, you can ensure that you are well-prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.

Which is better between mining at IIEST Shibpur and mining at BIT Sindri?

PS
Pablo Sengupta Posted On : June 28th, 2021
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (2019)

IIEST Shibpur is better than BIT Sindri in terms of placements, infrastructure, and academics. There are a lot of resources available to you and if you are willing then it will be a great learning experience for you.

The college is more than 160 years old and thus has a huge list of alumni base. It has recently been converted to an Institute of National Importance (INI) and is equivalent to an NIT.

The campus also offers a great scenic view. Some of the placement stats of mining engineering for the year 2020 are given below.

  • Highest CTC- 14 LPA
  • Average CTC- 7 LPA
  • Lowest CTC- 4 LPA

So IIEST Shibpur edges ahead BIT Sindri according to the opportunities they offer. You can definitely talk to other students and form your own opinion as well.

Arushi Sharma Posted On : June 29th, 2021
B.Tech Computer Science Engineering, Birsa Institute of Technology, Sindri (2018)

Many of my colleagues have completed their graduation from BIT Sindri and they had a great experience there. Coming to placement, BIT Sindri has a placement rate of 90%, and the packages offered to students in on-campus recruitment are overall Satisfactory. Here are the recent placement statistics for the institute.

Highest Package Offered

10.12 LPA

Average Package Offered

4.51 LPA

Top Recruiters

TCS Ninja, TCS Digital, Deolite, Schlumberger, Sify technologies, Tata Steel, Jindal Steel, etc.

Based on the interaction I had with the former students here are some insights and experiences they shared about BIT Sindri which might help you:

  • If you get placed in software firms like TCS/Infosys you would get a fixed package. Basic CTC offered is 3.20 Lakhs. Students who get placed in core firms will be offered a package of around 4 lac.
  • Keep your basics clear. Some people would suggest you go for MBA straight away, but it will be better to acquire work experience of at least 2 years before that. As work experience is much needed nowadays and almost all the top Business school as for a minimum of 2 years experience.
  • If you want to pursue M.Tech, start studying for GATE from your 2nd year as it will weigh down the burden.

All and all BIT Sindri is a great college to pursue your graduation with.

What is a better college: Jamia Millia or BIT Sindri?

DS
Deepika Singh Posted On : February 19th, 2021
IIT BHU (2019)

I have friends in both the colleges, Jamia Millia and BIT Sindri. Here is a brief comparison of the two institutions.

  • JMI Btech has a 100% placement record.
  • JMI also offers better faculty, infrastructure, academic environment, and extracurricular activities.
  • BIT Sindri used to be quite reputed previously. But the infrastructure of the institute is not up to the mark. Many of my friends left the institute just because of the poor hostel facilities. And those who are still at the institute complain about the poor salary package offered in the placements. The environment of the institute is also not that great, other than the college.

Despite these facts, you will find good reviews about BIT Sindri on different social media. These reviews are out of love for the institute not based on facts. There is no way you will find the same facilities as JMI, at BIT Sindri.

Which one is better: BIT Sindri or BIT Patna?

AS
Aniket Singha Posted On : February 19th, 2021
B.Tech Chemical Engineering & Digital Marketing, Birsa Institute of Technology, Sindri (2020)

Two of my cousins went to BIT Sindri and BIT Mesra, Patna extension.According to both of their experiences, BIT Sindri is better than BIT Patna. Here is a comparison of the two institutes.

Fees:

One of my cousins spends one lakh per semester for his BE degree at BIT Patna. While the other completed his BTech degree for around 70,000-80,000 at BIT Sindri.

Type of Degree:

BIT Mesra offers BE degrees for engineering. While BIT Sindri offers BTech degrees for the same. There’s a slight difference between BE and BTech. BTech degrees are only delivered by Govt. colleges like IITs, NITs, etc. and BTech has an edge over BE.

Infrastructure:

BIT Sindri definitely offers better infrastructure despite the fact that it is quite an old institute.

Hostel Accommodation:

The hostel accommodation at BIT Sindri is not good. BIT Patna has much better hostel facilities.

Other Facilities:

Playgrounds, hangout spots, Wi-Fi facilities are far better at BIT Patna.

Placements:

Placement at both institutes is almost the same. My cousin from BIT Sindri was placed at Electrosteel. Whereas, the one from BIT Patna was placed at Infosys.

Campus Life:

Well, campus life at all the engineering colleges has the same pattern, i.e. friends, parties, fest, etc. These institutes are not the exception.

This information should be enough to choose one of these two institutes. So, choose according to your preference.
