I am getting both ICT, Mumbai (Chemical Engineering) and VJTI CS. Which one should I opt for and why?
I would suggest you go with VJTI CS as it will be a better choice in the long run. Computer science is in demand with the number of job openings increasing every day in the country. VJTI’s computer science program is famous in the country and is known for its curriculum with a dedicated emphasis on practical learning. The college has a dedicated faculty pool and most of them are also engaged in research. VJTI's location also benefits it to a thriving industry ecosystem, providing students with ample opportunities for research, internships and industry collaborations.
Placement is another factor in which VJTI is better according to me. In 2024, A total of 401 BTech students were placed with the highest package secured by a BTech Computer Science student which stood at INR 57 LPA. The average package for the BTech Computer Science branch was INR 20 LPA.
What should I choose? NIT Surathkal metallurgy or RV college (top college in Karnataka) CS/Electronics?

- NIT Surathkal provides excellent quality education in all streams of engineering. Considering the fact of education, it is better to choose NIT. Students in NIT Surathkal receive excellent exposure for their future careers.
- Considering the placements in NIT Surathkal, there are few core companies that visit the metallurgy branch, offering decent packages to students. But, for them, you need to maintain a static decent CGPA score and have good knowledge in the field.
- There are some software companies too that offer jobs to students in Metallurgy at NIT Surathkal. If you are interested in coding and software development, you can consider those as legitimate options for them.

Which one to choose? XIMB vs Sydenham vs IMT Ghaziabad?
XIMB is a better brand among these colleges. It also offers a better average CTC to the students. As per the 2021 placement report, XIMB average package is INR 15.51 LPA.
IMT Ghaziabad is also a reputed B-School and ranks among the top 15 in the country. The average CTC for IMT G is INR 12.4 LPA. If you are interested in a marketing specialization, IMT can be a great option. One of the disadvantages of IMT is its huge batch size of almost around 700.
Sydenham offers a good ROI. As you can complete an MBA within 5 lakhs and the average CTC offered to students is around INR 10 LPA. But it’s difficult to get Sydenham, as the number of seats is limited for students without a Maharashtra domicile.
Between XIMB and IMT, you can choose the former due to the lower batch strength and better average CTC.
Out of NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal and NIT Warangal, which one is the best for a CSE?
The CSE from all three campuses is extremely sought after and has a high reputation in the job market. They are often compared to IITs. The choice between the two is therefore a matter of personal preferences.
Warangal gives a slight edge to Surathkal owing to its proximity to Hyderabad, the IT hub of India although the difference isn’t much noticeable. Surathkal has a slight advantage in terms of campus life and weather. It is the only college to have a private beach.
Ultimately, there aren’t any major differences between these colleges. If you want a better campus life go for Surathkal but if you want better academic opportunities go for NIT Warangal or NIT Trichy.
Which college is better between USIT, MAIT, JIIT, and BVP for a BTech in Computer Science/IT?
MAIT will be the best option among these for a BTech in Computer Science/IT. It offers good learning resources to students. The institute has good infrastructure and library facilities. It has a good placement record as well. According to the recent placement highlights, MAIT Delhi average package is around INR 4.5 LPA. The highest package goes up to INR 40 LPA. TCS, Amazon, Infosys, etc. are among the major recruiters to visit the campus placement.
What should I choose, EEE in MAIT or IT in MSIT?
Your choice of the course and college should totally depend upon your interests. If you have an interest in the electrical domain of engineering then you should go for EEE. If not then you should consider the IT branch for your career. It is extremely difficult to study subjects that you do not like. Now, if you are only looking out for good placement opportunities and do not have any keen interest in both of these two domains of engineering then IT at MSIT can be a pretty good option for you as the placement scenario of the college is much better than that of EEE in MAIT.
Most of the EEE students enrolled in MAIT get job opportunities in IT companies as there are very few jobs available in the core companies of the Electrical Engineering department.
Also, MSIT is situated in the heart of Janakpuri, so you will have many good places to hangout with your friends in your free time.

PIBM Pune provides a strong foundation for a master’s degree in management. One of my close friends studied at PIBM Pune. According to him, most of the colleges in India focus on theoretical knowledge, but PIBM has a practice-based approach.
