One of my friends has completed civil engineering from IET DAVV and she was not happy with her choice. Following are some facts shared by her which might give you a clear idea.
Categories | IET DAVV | Ujjain Engineering College | Medi-Caps |
Course Fee | 2.74 lakhs | 25,151 (1st year) | 4.85 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 16 LPA | 8.2 LPA | 8 LPA |
Average CTC | 8 LPA | 3.2 LPA | 3.5 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Accenture, Capgemini, etc. | HP, IBM, etc. | TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. |
Though the performance of IET DAVV is gradually lowering, it is still the best one among the mentioned 3 colleges. Placements are better at IET DAVV than the other two. Also, IET DAVV has a locational advantage.
When it comes to Bioinformatics neither of these two colleges offer any advantage over the other. It would not be possible for you to get a job during on-campus recruitments with a UG degree in bioinformatics. To open up your opportunities, you would have to go for a Master’s degree.
Now coming to the location of both these institutions. Amity University is situated in the NCR region of India and you can expect to have a thrilling and fascinating city lifestyle. The campus of Karunya University is surrounded by hills from all sides. The campus would be a bit laid back and peaceful, giving you plenty of time to reflect and introspect.
Amity University is a well-known institution that everyone knows about, whereas Karunya University is barely known among the student communities of India.
My sister studied CSE from NIT Surathkal which is an excellently ranked Institute. It has excellent opportunities available for anyone in the CSE department. It is the best option in terms of placements because core ECE jobs do not pay well. The number of jobs available to CSE graduates is way more than those to ECE.
If you notice the trend, you will see that a huge number of new companies have surfaced in the last decade, a few of them who recruit CSE students are Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato, and Paytm.
You won't find a single MNC for ECE students and if any does, it's the core companies whose number is less than 15 here in India. These days ECE companies are not investing in B.Tech students, they are more interested in Masters candidates.
Some startups have come up in core engineering but there's a high chance that it will merge with other prosperous companies. They don't even provide good pay.
If you look at the reputation and academic excellence of both the Institutes, then you will realize that they are good. It's always advisable to choose CSE because data is king, currently.
IIT Bhubaneswar ECE is a better choice among these. It offers better placements. IIT Bhubaneswar placements 2022 had witnessed an average CTC of INR 22.40 LPA for ECE. 100% of students got placed from the branch. The highest CTC offered was INR 44.10 LPA.
Aerospace Engineering is a niche field. The career prospect in Aerospace is limited. Choose IIT KGP, only if you are passionate about the field and want to pursue higher studies.
Having friends in these institutions, I am well aware that HBTU Kanpur is much better than IIIT Bhopal and IET Lucknow. Though one thing has been seen that the performance of the CSE department is generally the same in all the colleges. They all provide enough industry exposure to the students.
This table might help you in seeing the basic differences between these institutions -

It is advised to join HBTU Kanpur or IET Lucknow than IIIT Bhopal, as the former are an older establishment than the latter which is comparatively new. Classes at IIIT Bhopal are scheduled according to MANIT Bhopal. Also the students are provided RGPV hostels. So it will be better if you go for HBTU.
I have friends pursuing courses you mentioned above at either institute. Based on the discussion I have with them, here is what should be best for you,
However, the fees at BITS Goa are quite a lot.
You can enroll in any college you want. All you have to do is take advantage of the opportunities provided, such as checking out the entire event premises and inquire about various things being done at event management.
You can begin working or interning with various companies right away to gain knowledge and experience.
The best branches are in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolhapur, Jodhpur, Raipur, Odisha, Delhi(NCR), Dehradun, Patna, Kolkata, Jaipur, Indore, Lucknow, Guwahati, Bhopal, and Hyderabad.
Both NIEM and NAEMD are adequate educational institutions. When practical experience is taken into account, NIEM outperforms it. NIEM Mumbai is superior, but you should also consider NIEM Kolkata.
If you're deciding between UPES and ITM, here's some information to consider:
Ultimately, the decision of which institute to attend should be based on careful consideration of various factors, such as course curriculum, faculty, location, and cost. It may also be helpful to speak with current students or alumni to gain a better understanding of the overall experience at each institution.
I have a few friends at VJTI and they are not happy with the Electrical Engineering program offered by the institute. Here are some of the things that they mentioned about the institute.
Considering the above disadvantages of VJTI, ECE at IIIT Nagpur is a much better choice for students. Here is a brief overview of the ECE course at IIIT Nagpur.

Hope this helps.
You should surely take the 5-year course because it is quite convenient. You will get really good placements with the 5-year course. Additionally, with the 4-year course being just newly introduced, the placements will take some time to develop. The IPG faculty is very good as compared to the B.Tech faculty who are novices.
Moreover, you will also save an entire year. If you are interested in coding, you will get an extra year to hone your skills and improve them which would eventually lead to better placements. So between the two, choose the five-year course.
