NIT Warangal is a renowned college. You can choose it if the NIT tag matters to you. Even civil students can sit for some IT companies during campus placements at NITW. But for that, you’ll have to take out time and study the important concepts of CS. The civil curriculum is good at NITW, but you’ll face difficulty in getting a core job. 

On the other hand, JNTUH is also a good college. If studying CSE is your passion, you should choose this option. In this case, don’t seek the college name, and instead, opt for your branch of interest. 

JNTUH will offer you good placements, and so will NITW. But if you choose Civil, you might not get a core job. You’ll have to learn coding on your own to land a good IT job during campus placement.

My friend is a student at IMS Noida and based on her experience, I have entailed various pros and cons of the institute

Pros

• IMS Noida is one of the premier colleges in Delhi NCR.
• Faculties are very emphatic and guide you throughout
• The pictures of the Institute do justice to the beautiful campus
• IMS placements are pretty decent. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 2.9 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Top recruiters for our course are Amazon, Sony and Deloitte.
• The crowd quality is also better than the previous batches.

Cons

• The regularity of faculties is a big issue as many of them tend to leave the college mid-semester 
• No sports culture is promoted
• When compared to the facilities, the fees are not justifiable 
• No air-conditioned classrooms
• The exams are scheduled much later than other colleges.

For CSE, Silicon Institute of Technology is the best option among these. It offers good academics in the software domain. It has a good placement record, especially for branches like CSE, and ECE. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Byju’s are some of the major recruiters that take part in Silicon Institute of Technology placements. As per the placement highlights, the average CTC for the CSE branch is around INR 3.4 LPA.

TAPMI at Manipal, Karnataka, has a rigorous curriculum and industry-relevant teaching. The institute has a high placement record, averaging 12-13 lakhs every year. Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT & Analytics, HR, and General Management are TAPMI specializations.

IMT Ghaziabad, in Uttar Pradesh, has strong teaching, industry partnerships, and global exposure. Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR, IT & Analytics, and Business Analytics are offered by the 40-year-old institute. IMT Ghaziabad's average salary is 13-14 lakhs.

For a fresher, I would suggest IMT G.

If we consider NIRF 2022 rankings, TAPMI is at 38 and KJ Somaiya ranks at 71 but if we consider Times Ranking KJ Somaiya went way ahead and stood at 7th rank while TAPMI is at 34. KJ Somaiya and TAPMI have almost the same fees, in terms of placement TAPMI has a high hand.

If you are looking for the best place to study Mechanical Engineering, without being limited by location constraints, then consider Chandigarh University. Here are some reasons why:

The better program for a Keralite can be determined by comparing important factors like the curriculum, faculty, research opportunities, and job prospects

From the options you have mentioned, I assume you prefer convenience over academic quality. However, it’s better to look at the bigger picture and focus on the branches more than the institute. To strive for the best, one has to come out of their comfort zone so that only one can grow and reach new heights. 

In order to determine the right branch, research on the respective branches and the job opportunities offered by each. I am sure one or the other branch will intrigue you and trust me that will be the right one for you irrespective of how many Km you have to travel to reach there.

Ultimately, the decision of which program is better for a Keralite will depend on the individual's interests, goals, and career aspirations. It would be best to speak with current students, faculty, and alumni of both programs and gather as much information as possible in order to make an informed decision.
