B.Tech CSE from NIT Silchar is a good choice. Here are some parameters to assess it-
Thus, you can definitely consider NIT Silchar for your B.Tech CSE course.
Both Bangalore Institute of Technology and Dayanand Sagar College are great colleges and much better than BMSIT and RNSIT. However, they are comparable based on 2 aspects, placements, and college life.
While some may say that college life is a subjective matter and varies from person to person, I think the campus itself plays a major role.

\If you are considering your options for higher education in India, you may want to look into the advantages of studying at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), specifically IIT BHU.
Here are some reasons why studying at IIT BHU Chemical Engineering may be a good choice for you, instead of CSE/electrical/mechanical at VJTI/SPCE/COEP:
While there are many engineering colleges in India, the IITs are considered to be among the best. If you have the opportunity to study at a top-ranked IIT like IIT BHU, it may be wise to take advantage of this opportunity. In addition, if you have a specific interest in Chemical Engineering, IITBHU may be an especially good choice, as the institute has a strong program in this field.
Overall, if you are looking for a high-quality education, excellent career prospects, a vibrant campus community, and state-of-the-art facilities, IIT BHU may be the right choice for you.
Quality Engineering Design and Manufacturing is a dual degree course offered at IIT Kharagpur. The course seeks to help inculcate skills related to product realization from product design to manufacturing technologies, operations, and analytics.
These programs provide the students an opportunity for an internship that helps them work in the field and explore it further. It is a new and advanced level educational program that targets engineers and helps them deliver top-notch designs, prototypes, fabrication, manage production, quality, logistics, and supply chain, and also operate these enterprises.
Degree offered by IIT Kharagpur
The 5-year dual degree curriculum in Quality Engineering Design and Manufacturing (QEDM) is delivered in two verticals - Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Electronics.
For each of the verticals, there will be B. Tech (Hons) in Engineering Product Design and Manufacturing and M. Tech in Design and Quality Engineering.
Special Features of the Program
This is the only program at IIT that offers a 6-month internship to its students. There are additional summer internships in the 2nd and 3rd year. The primary goal is for the student to gain maximum exposure and become well-experienced in every aspect.
The interdisciplinary program is offered by a host of departments
IIEST Shibpur is better for CSE. It offers better academics, and facilities. IIEST receives more funding than NIT Durgapur. It has a better peer group as well, which is clearly reflected on the cutoff.
The placement rate for CSE is around 80%. Students receive an average CTC of around INR 10 LPA. The highest CTC offered goes up to INR 39 LPA. Microsoft Media, Deutsch Bank, Mentor Graphics, Well Fargo’s, etc. are among the major recruiters that take place in the placement drive.
IIT BHU has an excellent department of chemical engineering, which was established in 1921. You will be astonished to know the best alumni network at IIT BHU since it is one of the oldest IITs in India. There are many reasons that favor the statement about IIT BHU. Let us have a detailed view of this institution:
Placement Support – The recruiters from big companies, including HUL, RIL, KBR, Amazon, and so on You will get the opportunity to sit with these companies and will be placed in high-salary jobs based on your talent in the chemical engineering field. You also get the chance to impress with your GATE score here.
Campus – IIT BHU is situated in the middle of the city, so you will have easy access to coaching centers and other places. The infrastructure is pretty good and old, and the students are given a resourceful atmosphere for their studies.
Alumni – You have a strong alumni network in the Chemical Engineering Department, and they also launched a chemical engineering consulting firm on campus.
So IIT BHU is the best option for chemical engineering compared to other IITs in India.
The cutoff marks vary from year to year and also depend on the category of the candidate. Another major factor that determines the cutoff is if you are a Home State Student or Other State student. Home-state students require lower cutoffs so they are at a certain advantage. These cutoffs decrease in subsequent rounds depending on the seats left.

There is no clear winner in this comparison. If you are interested in Mining Engineering and want to learn fundamental and core technicalities, then NIT Surathkal will be better. As an institute, NITK is better than other engineering colleges in Karnataka. It offers better academics, exposure, facilities, and campus life. For Mining, NIT Surtahkal placements are great. Coal India visits NITK for recruiting students. The average CTC received by the students of this bench is INR 5-6 LPA.
But if you aren’t particularly interested in Mining Engineering, then you should choose CSE at PES University. In the current industry landscape, CSE offers better placements with cushy salary packages.
