If you are considering your options for higher education in India, you may want to look into the advantages of studying at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), specifically IIT BHU.
Here are some reasons why studying at IIT BHU Chemical Engineering may be a good choice for you, instead of CSE/electrical/mechanical at VJTI/SPCE/COEP:
While there are many engineering colleges in India, the IITs are considered to be among the best. If you have the opportunity to study at a top-ranked IIT like IIT BHU, it may be wise to take advantage of this opportunity. In addition, if you have a specific interest in Chemical Engineering, IITBHU may be an especially good choice, as the institute has a strong program in this field.
Overall, if you are looking for a high-quality education, excellent career prospects, a vibrant campus community, and state-of-the-art facilities, IIT BHU may be the right choice for you.
Just because someone hasn't heard of VJTI and COEP because they are not from Maharashtra that doesn’t mean they are not good colleges. The government has converted IT BHU into an IIT, that doesn’t mean it is in the same league as IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur etc.
VJTI, COEP and SPCE are extremely good colleges. There are many Electronics graduates from these colleges who went on to get scholarships from prestigious US Universities abroad.
A friend of mine was in Crompton Greaves Mumbai after passing out and he mentions that there were a lot of students from VJTI, SPCE, COEP there.
You must choose your branch wisely and enjoy studying it and stay interested after you pass out. Check out the syllabus of Electrical in VJTI/COEP because in most Indian colleges Electrical engineering doesn’t teach electronics which is not really good.

IIT BHU is a good institute from a placement perspective that you will get a job after you pass out. It’s not in the same league as Kanpur, Delhi, Bombay, Madras, Kharagpur. However, if you like Chemical Engg. IIT BHU is not a bad place either. But If you are planning to get into Electronics, Computer Science - do consider VJTI/COEP/SPCE.
