Being the Head of the CS Department in your institute, what is your philosophy of leadership?

"I believe a true leadership is always output oriented"

I would describe my leadership style as results oriented. Because I feel it is very important to make your team feel that your support and guidance is there for them whenever they need it, so there is a huge difference between being a leader and a bossy person.

How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your college?

"By drafting a schedule for everyone to lead them in a better way and give desired inputs"

Firstly, we define our daily goals in terms of college activities, events and processes, daily schedule for faculty etc. Because once we have the drafted plan we can easily achieve our objectives. And I follow the same approach in my institute as it helps me to lead my team in a better way by checking their progress daily, making sure they know what they are supposed to do, delegating work and counseling them when they get stuck somewhere.

In your experience, what benefits students will gain from studying here in your institute?

"We will give best ambiance and industrial exposure to them to live their dreams"

"It is backed by regular assessments, feedback sessions, and programs on latest technologies"

Our curriculum is structured in a very efficient manner. And programs are designed in a way that they will promote the ambiance of creativity and innovation on campus that will ultimately be beneficial for everyone.

How is your institute more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

"Uniform learning opportunities are given to them and any kind of inequality is prohibited in our college"

As a lot of different flowers make a beautiful bouquet, the same way the diversity of people that we have with us makes our college a vibrant and happy place. We give uniform learning opportunities to them irrespective of their races or economic backgrounds. Because we believe every student is unique so should be given the same window to upgrade themselves.

And regarding college, my responsibility is to ensure that everything works in a smooth and transparent way.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in general?

"Shifting students focus from social media towards studies is a very challenging task"

I believe our students have become addicted to the use of social media and they are so engrossed that their studies are getting impacted very badly. And they can’t make big decisions for their future if they get distracted by small things. So restoring students' focus back to studies is the biggest issue in today's time.

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

"Keep upgrading your skills while enjoying your college life"

I would advise my students to enjoy their college life and keep learning new things simultaneously so that they can make the most out of their college life.

What are some of the plans that you are currently designing for students of your college?

"We are currently offering certification courses and trainings to students as per industry standards"

We are currently focussing on making our students industry ready by exposing them with the real world through training programs and certification courses on Redhat, Pega, VMware and AWS. We also give our full support and guidance to such students who want to pursue their Masters Degree from an International University.

How do you establish a healthy relationship and environment in your institute?

"We have special mentors to address students queries and then we resolve them on our level"

In our college, one mentor is assigned to around 15 students. And each mentor connects with every other student on the first day of every month and discusses with them if they are facing any issue on an educational or personal level. If there is any issue then the mentor reports the same to me and I connect with the particular student along with the student's parents to resolve it. And if the issue still persists, we connect with our respected Principal sir. Hence in the hierarchical way we address and troubleshoot students queries.
