A new norm of completely tech-mediated blended teaching and learning is being adopted is an ideal environment

An ideal environment I could think of is where a new norm of completely tech-mediated blended teaching and learning is being adopted. An environment that would employ adaptive learning tools to allow students to learn at their own pace. These autonomous learners would not be isolated and alone. Students would cluster together in study groups and other such associations; they would meet in self-organized associations around shared interests and in affiliation with faculty. Technology would not eliminate the need for skilled teachers. Professors would tutor students in individualized settings, enhancing what has been taught through the adaptive learning tools. Thus, faculty, students and technology would work in concert to create a customized educational experience.

As Director of I.T.S, my philosophy of leadership is very visionary and realistic

I always believe in looking at the big picture. I always try to inspire my students and faculty to emulate and perform at optimum levels. I understand that jobs of all the employees in the organization are required to come together to reach agreed-upon goals. "The task of the leader is to get their people from where they are to where they have not been”. Over the last year, our team has embarked on an extensive planning process to set goals and strategies for the next five years by building on our past achievements, but also addressing areas for improvement. I try to develop an instrument, process and the framework by which we can educate and shape up the young minds best to serve in the industry.

An underlying priority is to instil in our students a sense of commitment to have a socially responsible impact

I.T.S is committed to nurture leaders and entrepreneurs who will empower their organizations in the global economy. At the same time, the Institute remains deeply rooted in the region and the nation. An underlying priority is to instil in our students a sense of commitment as managers to have a socially responsible impact; to give them an understanding of how difficult and challenging this often can be; and to expand their knowledge and their intellectual horizons so they emerge transformed and prepared to have an impact on the world of business and society at large. We have consciously created a culture that values collegiality and accessibility, with open doors at all levels.

We offer a facilitating forum to our talented students so that they can showcase their abilities among a receptive and appreciative audience

Co-curricular activities allow students to pursue their goals and interests outside of their standard academic curriculum. We at I.T.S believe that wholesome personality development is never the product of rigorous academic discipline alone; rather it is the perfect synergistic combination of both curricular as well as extra-curricular activities. We offer a facilitating forum to our talented students so that they can showcase their abilities among a receptive and appreciative audience I.T.S boasts of enviable talent in almost all cultural divisions: Dramatics, Singing, Dance, Instrumental, and Literary.

Also we strive to provide productive recreational getaways for the students, which serve not only as much needed breathers in their busy academic schedules, but also provide the perfect opportunity for them to relax and enjoy together and interact informally with the faculty members. Technical skills can be taught but soft skills that extra-curricular activities in college help develop cannot be taught in a workplace.

Our Corporate Resource Center acts as an interface between the students, faculty and the corporate world to initiate interaction with the industry

The Corporate Resource Center or the Placement Cell plays a vital role in bringing the industry and academia close to each other. It provides Career Counselling; need based education and organization support. It has the task to organize campus interviews for students, train them and to organize corporate guest lectures and industry interaction.

CRC acts as an interface between the students, faculty and the corporate world to initiate continuous interaction with the industry, sharing industry experiences, and understanding the needs of the corporate world. CRC has been regularly inviting heads of leading Companies to the campus, who share their insights into the latest developments concerning the economy to stimulate and enhance the intellectual climate at I.T.S.

It is important to understand the importance of making students industry ready

In a global competitive scenario and particularly in these uncertain times, I.T.S understands the importance of making its students industry ready and to realise our dream of making every student employable. We have a very robust annual academic calendar having events like Business Summit, Research Conclave, Entrepreneurship Summit, Webinars and Video conferencing sessions by industry experts & by our own alumni. To ensure the success of our students, we plan to focus on keeping our Infrastructure competitive, keeping our faculty updated with the latest developments and research taking place around.

We have tie-ups and collaboration with leading companies for training, exposure and development of our students

Excellence and Ethics are important elements of I.T.S DNA and we strive hard to make it the part of every student’s DNA. These should be the important distinguishing factors of I.T.S alumni beliefs that form a managers' world view and a professional identity. The third aspect relates to 'Whole-person growth in all quotients' - growth of an individual across intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual levels; and the fourth hallmark being 'social consciousness - to be sensitive to the needs of the less privileged around us.
