Students should keep in mind that TOEFL and IELTS scores shouldn’t be more than 2 years old. Also, PTE and the Duo lingo scores are only accepted for some programs and not all. Those students who do not have the test scores are usually on campus with accuplacer exam and writing samples and placed into coursework upon completion of the exams.

Graduate programs require English proficiency test scores to be only 1 year old.

Visa Process for International Applicants

International students applying to the USA need to obtain an Initial I-20 from Duquesne University to apply for the F-1 student visa at a consulate outside the U.S. international students will also need to present their I-20 at the U.S. border along with the F-1 visa, and other supporting documents in order to be able to enter the U.S. as an F-1 student.

Before Duquesne University can sponsor an international student’s I-20 Form, the student must be accepted to their program of study, have submitted the documents to be submitted for attaining the visa, and paid the I-901 SEVIS Fee.
