Udaya Gopi Kappala Review at Arizona State University [ASU], Tempe | Collegedunia

Review on Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ.

UK
8.2 /10

I liked the curriculum of robotics and autonomous systems. It also offers large number of on-campus part time jobs for the eligible students.

Course Curriculum :

It's really good, and the course were designed in a way that it meets the industrial standards.

Exams :

My Scores GRE 317, AWA 4/6, IELTS:- 7/9; Duolingo 135 for these score I've got the admit.

Placement :

Most of my known CS student who came on Spring'21 got placed for internships, some even got their full-time offers from Amazon, etc., Where as non-CS students also got their internship opportunities from Intel, Qualcomm, Microchip etc., Here the placements are not really hard, everyone will go out of the campus with a happy face.

Internship :

Not yet, I just entered my 2nd semester.

Fees :

It will be 34Lakhs for entire studies except for the accommodation.

Scholarship :

No, They give scholarships if you have commendable academic background during the undergrad time like if you have > 9.2/10 then you will get 3000$/semester throughout the 1st semester. And after 1st semester if you have 4/4 you will get scholarship as well. Although i got 4/4 unfortunately they are not offering this time for men.

Faculty :

Here the faculty to student ratio is pretty good, and both the staff and professors are student friendly they will guide us through anything. In my case, I wanted to enroll for a specific class but the seats were ran out and the deadline is just that day. So, I've sent an email to both professor and my academic advisor they both sort out and increased the slots just by afternoon and they sent a reminder email stating that the seats were increased so such kind of critical issues will be addressed fast here in ASU. I'm thankful to both Dr. SANGRAM REDKAR, TONI MENGERT.

Campus Life :

ASU is well known for it's campus since it is one of the oldest schools here in USA. The facilities are pretty awesome they provide free busses from out campus accommodation to the school and intra shuttle for ASU campuses. There are two huge libraries which open 24x7 with a fast internet access and it is a legit space to complete our work. Weekly once multiple activities, student gatherings will happen, and the football games are famous in our stadiums.

Hostel :

I'm living in a shared apartment which is 2B2B, it is Desert Palm Villages and is known for it's maintenance and spacious. The average rent would be around 1700$/month it varies from 340-450$ based on no.of people are sharing(including other expenses such as wifi and electricity)
