very good college for the computer science program

I wanted to be in Silicon Valley so the location was a plus point. The University of Southern California is renowned for its computer science program and boasts knowledgeable professors who have done some amazing research work. Strong alumni network in the industry. One of the universities with a rank in the top 20 for Computer Science programs.

Course Curriculum :

They have an up-to-date curriculum that changes with new technologies and tries to stay up to date. Wide variety of courses for all interests covering most Computer Science fields ranging from software, and cloud to AI and machine learning. Courses have great assignments and projects that prepare you for working in the industry.

Exams :

My scores are GRE 332/340 (170 quants, 162 verbal, 4.5 Writing), and TOEFL 117/120. Statement of purpose regarding why you want to join the University of Southern California Master of Science in Computer Science. 3 Letters of recommendation from a professor or manager if working in the industry. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Placement :

Great opportunities to work in industry and do research. Amazon, Google, Facebook, NVIDIA, etc hire many students.

Events :

Great campus near downtown LA. There are lots of activities like a sports center with various sports like swimming, basketball, badminton, etc. Amazing campus with many libraries and various places to hang out.

Fees :

Around $60000 is the program fee.

Scholarship :

No, I didn't receive any scholarship.

Faculty :

The faculty are really knowledgeable and eager to teach students. They are really approachable and encourage students to ask questions and go and talk about coursework, projects, and industry experience. The ratio is a bit on the higher side with classes having nearly 300 students on average. Overall great professors who want to make you learn something new.

Hostel :

University offers housing that is a bit on the costlier side. Off-campus many options within a 2-mile radius with rents ranging from $500 for shared rooms to as high as $1500 for single sharing per month.
