I chose these institutions as they are some of the top ranked universities in the world. These are globally elite names that rank in the top tier. These college names allow for recognition in the professional environment. Major companies know the rigor that is associated with graduating from universally prestigious academic institutions such as these and the level of respect is instantaneously increased. At USC, my program ranks number one in the world in its field.
Course Curriculum :
The USC Graduate School coursework is the best academic curriculum I have ever studied. The material is most relevant, intriguing, thought interacting, and requires an in depth amount of research where students are encouraged to learn about the topics at hand. Discussions are highly interactive and allow for a deep understanding of various perspectives.
Exams :
For the USC Graduate School Master of Communication Management (MCM) program the admission requirements are to have obtained a minimum of a 3.0 GPA during undergraduate in order to apply to USC, 500 word statement of purpose, 3 letters of recommendation required (4 preferred), resume, college application details include community services, academic and athletic involvements, miscellaneous achievements, proof of GRE completion, relevant professional work experience, and military service is not required but is a positive bonus.
Placement :
Both UC Berkeley and USC are world renowned research institutions who have premiere research opportunities in any field imaginable. With the current fast paced environment of the world and pop culture lifestyles, research field have expanded and areas of interest can be placed in nearly any line of passion. There is a standard of criteria that must be upheld due to the institution’s brand name the student will be publishing on behalf of. Depending on the research department and position, some are paid and some are for experience purposes only.
Events :
University campus life at both UC Berkeley and USC are extraordinary. On-campus dormitory living facilities are top-of-the-line, room, board, and cafeteria foods are included. The students are exposed to all campus activities from club events, college events, student facilitated activities, and all. UC Berkeley campus is known globally for its top public university ranking and close proximity to Silicon Valley. The USC campus itself is world class as the campus is universally known, filmed in many Hollywood movies for its famous location of downtown Los Angeles. College sports are in Division 1 Pacific Twelve Conference, gyms and sports facilities are open to all students, WiFi is connected everywhere.
Scholarship :
For the University of California (UC) system I received the Blue and Gold scholarship.
Faculty :
The USC faculty are world class. Their extensive academic knowledge and universal exposure sets them apart, maintaining the top private university elitism. They are well versed in every category, but not restricted to, software, research, writing, journalism, media, business, communications, public relations, and countless varieties. These faculty members are always approachable from emails, video calls, to in-person office hours. Dr. Brad Allen Shipley, and Dr. Styles Infinite Akira have been outstanding positive influences who have teaching methods that work miraculously.
Hostel :
I lived in a dormitory building with full accommodations from room, bathroom, and cafeteria food, along with study rooms, and library access for computers and printing. Options for sharing rooms are two or three people per room, there is a shared bathroom on each floor, males and females share the same areas, everything is neat and clean, well maintained, and constructed to comfort.
