Review of USC MS Cs programme

The ranking of the universities was one of the main reasons. The curriculum is adapted to new developments and covers them. The teaching is very good and if you like the field, you will enjoy working on the assignments and projects. The location was also one of the main factors. The weather of California is much favorable for the people of India. Plus there are a lot of tech companies in California and also in the neighborhood of the university. This provides more opportunities for internships and full time jobs.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum and academics is totally awesome. it is updated every semester. The variety of subjects available is also great. You can choose the subjects that you like. USC MS CS program only has 28 credits and each subject has 4 credits so its only 2 subjects per semester. You can do co-op in the final semester.

Faculty :

The ratio depends on subject to subject. Popular courses like AI, AOA and Database will have 200 students for a faculty. However, there are ample of TAs to approach and get doubts cleared. The faculty are well versed with the topic. They are helpful a lot. They understand concerns and also help the students. Shawn Shamshian, Saty Raghavachary are great professors they are very good and have helpful nature.

Campus Life :

USC has everything to offer that you like. The infrastructure is up to date. There are a lot of different types of clubs that you can be a part of. Every Indian festival is celebrated here. There are two committees related to Indians - Association of Indian Students and Hindu Student Organization. There is high speed Wifi on campus. There is a cricket league organized every semester. There are two big gyms in the campus. Students also get free lyft service around the campus from 6 pm to 2 am.

Hostel :

There are a lot of on campus and off campus apartment available. There are a lot of apartments in the neighborhood where student can rent an apartment. Bedroom sharing options are also available in many apartments. There are ample grocery stores nearby and there is also an Indian store in the area. The average rent for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment is $3000 a month for 5 people (600 per person)
